Really nice campground

Rip Van Winkle Campground

I'll start with the dog stuff, since that's why we all come here. There are lots of dogs in the campground. It clearly has a reputation for being dog friendly. The campground has a fenced-in dog run. We met several other dogs there, and our pup had a blast playing with them. The dog run even has a dog sink/shower that opens from the front, so you can clean up your dog if they get muddy.

Independent of dog-friendliness, it is an excellent campground. There's lots of trees. Sites are roomy. There's a mix of permanent trailers, towed trailers and RVs, and tent sites. The tent sites have fire rings and picnic tables. It's a sizeable campground, but everything is tucked into the hills and trees of the landscape, so it feels quite cozy and serene.

The tent pads are large, with an elevated base of wood chips. They are perfectly flat, and didn't accumulate any water when it rained. The rest of the site is gravel, so it also drains well and doesn't get muddy. There's just enough light at night (not too much). Bathrooms are cleaned regularly and are spaced evenly throughout the campground. The shower-house has plenty of hot water. Guests are quiet and respectful. Very professionally run. We'll definitely be going back.
