Disappointing even for a budget motel

Currently undergoing renovations but we were put in an older room. There was damage to walls and doors, missing fixtures, stained linens, dirty floors, odor, and a horrible squealing sound coming from the shower, but we decided to stay since it was late. The desk agent was not interested in hearing about this at check out when I mentioned the room was in bad shape. Unfortunate as usually Red Roof can be counted on for at least clean and functional rooms.
