Great Place to Stay
Best Western Plus the Inn & Suites at the FallsThe hotel is neat and clean and there's plenty to space to walk the dog along with a trash container. We loved the nearby Poughkeepsie Steak House; although it isn't dog friendly, your dog will love the leftovers. The only negative about this hotel is that the breakfast room was so hot it was intolerable.

Great Food and Fur Babies Welcome
Taino SmokehouseThe barbeque was wonderful and the serving size, including the great side dishes is generous. The server brough my dog much needed water and, when it began to rain, invited everyone, including my well-behaved dog inside. This place is going to be our usual stop over on our frequent trips from Maryland through the area to Maine. I beats anything along the highway and was a relaxing treat for all of us.
