Door to room did not lock

The door didn't lock when closed. We didn't realize this until the next day when we went to breakfast. The hotel did not have anyone available in maintenance so we had to checkout early. We were not able to leave our dog in the room to go eat like we had planned. My family slept with an open door all night. The hotel was nice though otherwise.
