Bare Bones accommodations

Seagull Beachfront Inn

This place is not for the faint of heart, but we mostly enjoyed our stay regardless. ("Dog-friendly" to us means we lower our expectations.) Price wasn't too bad for the location, but you get what you pay for: TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dresser, bed, table, two chairs, and that's about it. No nightstands, no clock, no phone (not that one needs a hotel phone these days). Property is still in need of some repairs, but the room was clean enough and we had plenty of towels and coffee pods. There is no daily service--bring your used towels to the office and trade for fresh ones. Be warned that although the property overlooks a gorgeous strip of beach, it's a section that allows vehicles to drive down and park on the sand. Clearly it's fun. At least 50% of the vehicles do donuts in the sand before they leave. (I would, too, I suppose. I was young once!) Unfortunately the sound from the revving engines carries right through the glass into your room. Not sure we'd stay here again, but it sufficed in a pinch, and the office staff was certainly friendly enough. :D
