My Aussies Love This Park
Newtown Dream Dog ParkIn the summer there are pools for the dogs to cool off in. I live that because I worry about them over heating. There's water at the front and back of the park but I don't believe they are always dogs. ed on. There is a large shaded area with wood chips, several place for owners to sit, a covered sitting area with picnic tables at the back, plenty of balls to play with and the fake grass area is nice. You don't have to worry about your wet dog getting muddy.
Just like with every park you have people who don't clean up after their dogs. This is the only bad part...that fake grass stuff isn't terrible for keeping it clean of dog waste. Those who do the up keep need to go in there and actually scrub or take a hose to it.

Yuck Yuck
Sweat Mountain Park Dog ParkWe walked up and the smell hit me! So awful...urine, urine, urine! I did stay for about 20 mins just to let my dogs run around. I didn't see anyone clean up after their dog. And there was a frying pan for them to drink out of.
Don't waste your time stopping here.

Very Big Area
Piedmont Park Dog ParkThis park doesn't get 5 stars because of lack of shade, only one trash can, and only one drink faucet. This park is really big and awesome but you have to have more than one water faucet at the entrance. If your dog is at the other end they have to go all the way back to the entrance for a drink. There were some very large boulders thru out the park that the dogs were playing on. Also it drains very well. I was prepared for mud since it had rained for the last three days but there was very little.
Don't let the few that don't pay attention to their dogs ruin it for you. I was there on a busy Sunday morning and the majority of people watched their dogs. There were a ton of puppies and every size /breed of dog you can think of.
We will be going back. I have 3 Aussies and they are passed out!! Lol A tires dog is a good dog lol
