Dissatisfied

Upon arrival the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly, but not as helpful as he could have been.
I called a few days before arrival and mentioned we may be arriving a little early and he told me not to worry that we could check in at noon, so we arrived at noon he then proceeded to tell us that we had to wait until 4:00 to check in instead. That was fine, though a bit inconvenient after driving for 12 straight hours.

When we finally got our keys, we found the cabin to be extremely dirty inside, mud and dirt all over the floors, very dirty and stained furniture, kitchen counters and bathroom also very dirty. I was concerned not only that we now had to go and but cleaning supplies, but that it should have been sanitized due to Covid. Obviously it hadn’t been, and my mother who is the whole reason we took the trip to begin with, being diagnosed with terminal cancer… I was concerned about the unclean environment for her.

We brought out little dogs, and o was also concerned about how unclean it was for them as well.
At checkout we brought this to their attention once again, (I called the office upon entering the cabin to inform them of the dirty state) we were told that they would comp us a night. So far that hasn’t happened and it’s been 2 weeks. So being extremely disappointed, after reading positive reviews, I will never stay here again or would I recommend this campground to anyone else. Very dissatisfied.
