Worst customer experience ever

Avoid at all costs! Owner was incredibly rude and charged double listed price. Left wondering if they treated our dog kindly.

This was our first experience with a groomer and we were severely disappointed. Our rescue pup had a traumatic start to life, so I spent time reading reviews and trying to find a groomer I thought would provide a positive experience for her first groom. We were originally told the groom would take two to two and a half hours. At the two hour mark we came by to see how things were going, we didn’t want the staff to be stuck there later than necessary. The staff was kind and told us she wasn’t done and would call us when she was. We got lunch and hung out, then decided we’d spend the rest of our time waiting in the parking lot as we live an hour away. After four hours we wanted to make sure everything was going alright so we called to check in. The owner answered and was immediately very rude, it caught us off guard. We didn’t feel we had done anything wrong. We understood our dog might take longer than expected since she is a large breed and this was her first groom, we care about her well being and were just looking for some communication around how things were going. Immediately after hanging up the owner called back and told us to come get our dog even though she wasn’t done, and charged us double the price listed on the website. We left feeling incredibly confused about why the owner was so rude to us. We are friendly considerate people, and felt the owner was needlessly combative and disrespectful. Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.
