Don’t go here

We got there and the place looked deserted. There were chairs in front of desk, so I had to reach over to ring bell. A man shouted several times from the back. He finally came out and was rude and told me I had to pay cash for the pet deposit. I didn’t have cash because EVERYWHERE takes cards for that. He finally agreed to take my card and proceeded to speak on the phone to two different people. I didn’t speak the language, but I got the impression that he was trying to ready a room quickly. Key was finally given to me and I realized in the elevator that the key envelope was used. Gross. We get to the room, and wow, not only did it not have the sofa bed that was advertised, it lacked pillows too. The walls were stained, the beds literally sagged in the middle and were lumpy, and it reeked of cigarette smoke.

My best guess is that this place is used as a front for some other “business.” I’m not an uppity gal and we weren’t expecting the Ritz Carlton (not that we’ve ever stayed there either), but I promptly went downstairs with my crew and informed him that we were leaving. I’ve never left a hotel. Ever. I guess there’s a first time for everything. I’m not exaggerating any of this. If you’re reading this, do yourself and your crew a favor and drive a couple of miles down the road to the Country Inn. They also allow pets. Also not the Ritz, but you won’t leave there with a disease… or worse.
