We decided to stop here after grabbing some dinner one night. The place was muddy and looked super sketchy. I would not recommend this place, nor would I return.

I moved to this area recently, and one of the reasons I was attracted to this particular neighborhood was the dog park within walking distance. I love the effort of the fellow dog owners to ensure that gallon jugs are filled with water throughout the park for dogs to drink, and that most people who come and go make certain the gates are locked.
It is large, and as one reviewer mentioned, a dog that prefers to sniff and run around on its own has enough room to do so without interacting with more social dogs. There's also separate and very large section for smaller dogs, too!
I find that the park is maintained fairly well.
The only issue I have with the dog park, which is a common issue with many other dog parks, is that there are groups of owners who gather at certain times, and are usually socializing throughout the entire stay with one another. In doing so, I have observed that they are not very attentive of their dogs and fail to clean up behind their dogs, which leaves subsequent visitors to clean up their dog's poop. If you don't, you have to carefully monitor your dogs' steps, as well as your own steps, to avoid the feces. As I said, you will find dog owners like this everywhere. I was just a little disappointed to see that a park this well maintained and routinely visited and appreciated by the community has the same careless owners as any other park.

My dog was attacked with $750 in vet bills as soon as we entered. The park is 3 football fields long and people sit at tables not within voice distance. Pinellas County considers attacks to be owners at risk. I went here a few times because of living in the neighborhood. Neighbors were right to warn me to stay away. I thought they meant poop that’s everywhere.
- ChelseaJan 12, 2023Huge park for the dogs to run!
we are vacationing here in St Petersburg and have been hopping around from dog park to dog beach daily! I loved how big this park was as soon as we stepped in. There is a freeway over pass but it didn’t even seem to phase both my dogs. When we showed up 8 dogs were leavening. so unfortunately we missed them but my dogs still had a blast sprinting around the large area.
The water area was at the front but i did notice every bench throughout the park had a bowl with 3 water jugs next to it. There was also a hose area to wash off your dogs and a dog pool that could be filled with the hose. - MichelleSep 11, 2022Better than nothing
It's not beautiful, but it's a descent size with a little bit of shade and I'm glad there is an outlet for dogs in this area.
- SoniaMay 12, 2022Largest small dog park in area!
Has a lot of shade and my Pom loves it!

Never been a big fan. The highway overpass is loud, the park is more of a long narrow line instead of a wide even field, and there's never anyone here. People tell me to come on weekdays instead of the weekends, but why not the weekends? That's when everyone's free. I've been here on Saturday and Sunday and both times there were only a couple of dogs there.

My uncle takes his dogs here. I brought them while house sitting. This parks great!

I've taken my dogs there several times and they enjoy it My problem is that the only water available is at the entrance. I have to bring a gallon & a bowl with me to keep them hydrated. North Shore dog park has several water stations which is preferrable but parking is a nightmare.,

This is a really nice shady park. I wish more people would come though because my dogs like to play with other dogs. There is a really great doggy daycare across the street too, I have several friends that have left their dogs there and the love it, you'd think with all the dog people around they'd frequent this really nice dog park more often.
- BMore than a year agoHUGE park
This is my favorite dog park. 3 Acres is plenty of room for dogs to run and explore. If they want to play with other dogs, there are usually a few here, but it isn't as crowded as some of the other St Pete parks. If your dog is more of a loner, there is enough space here to avoid the other dogs, too. The large dog park is bigger than the small dog park, but both offer plenty of room for your dog.

i love this park and my little dogs does too they interacted with other dogs and its so cute
- KMore than a year agoSo peaceful
This 3 acre, fenced in, shaded puppy playground should be an example of what to do with all unuseful land! Having two large dogs, 100 lbs. each, makes it difficult to find an area outside of our yard for them to be social in. Our boys love this dog park located right under the overpasses almost as much as we do! With watering holes for both owner and pup, plenty of benches and picnic tables located under the large trees, and a divider separating small dogs from large dogs this dog-friendly park deserves 5 Bones!
