  Wonderful Fort

  we had a great time visiting to fort. Our pup had full run of the fort and we really enjoyed the history. It is super well maintained and has amazing views. The movie inside the visitor center was very educational.

  Great place for Fido

  Excellent space to wonder around and experience some history. Definitely dog friendly, only place they arent allowed is visitor center and gift shop, trails and amazing view from top of the fort

  Great Space to Roam

  Friendly staff inside the fort, with dogs allowed on lower and upper levels. Even more trails outside the fort. Not too hilly.

  My only gripe is the 2 outdoor trash cans were both locked. This made waste disposal more difficult.

  Definitely dog friendly

  Great place for dogs. Took our boxer and the park rangers and other visitors were very friendly. There is much more to do that just the Fort. The park is huge and has a lot of trails. Make sure you bring water and take some water breaks for yourself and your pet because it gets hot!

  Very dog friendly NM

  They are very dog friendly especially for being a national monument. Dogs allowed everywhere except visitors center and gift shop. Shoreline and trail to lighthouse was closed.

  Fun at Fort Pulaski

  Had a great walk on the trails and exploring the fort. Dog friendly and our dog Layla dad a blast.

  Pitbull Friendly

  The man at the gate gave our pitbull a milk bone and said they love having dogs there! Lots to see and explore. Highly recommend. They do fire canons (on a schedule) which could scare some dogs.

  Very Dog Friendly

  Staff was great at the fort, everyone wanted to pet Nikita. Have enjoyed every visit to this park. From the ticket booth to the fort everyone loves dogs. Nikita got a treat at the entry gate and enjoyed lots of attention around the fort. Also always visit the beach.

  We spent the day here with our dog for his birthday. Even took him to the beach area. Had a great time.

  So much fun

  This place was awesome and so dog friendly. EVERYWHERE. Bring bug spray!!! They do have cannon shootings a few times a day but they are give you ample notice in case your pup isn't a fan of big booms. Very nice and educational tour!

  Great dog beach option near tybee Island

  We were vacationing in tybee Island with our 2 dogs. None of the island beaches allow dogs but a local resident suggested Fort Pulaski. Beach is along the Savannah River. There were only a few other people there the day we were there. The area is posted warning of large currents and there is some shipping traffic so we just let our dogs wade in to cool off but it is great option for the area.

  So pet friendly. There are a variety of trails, also has plenty of shaded areas with benches to take walk/water breaks--an important amenity for my small Havanese pup in the Savannah heat!

  In addition to welcoming our pup, the restrooms in the fort walls had doggy dishes by the water fountains. Glad we found it on Bring Fido. ????

  This was the highlight of our Savannah trip! My husband, german shepherd, and I loved it! There are hiking trails, fort grounds to walk, the fort itself with all the recreated rooms/exhibits, a gift shop, a cemetery, and more trails! Everything except the visitor center is dog friendly. Your pass is valid for a week. Well worth the $5 fee. It is a great historical sight. Must see the cannon damage on the outside walls.

  Beautiful and historical!

  We took our dog here and walked around the fort. He loved exploring the fort and sniffing the old cannons. Well worth the entrance fee. We were going to hike the trails, but George got too hot. The nice thing is - the entrance fee is good for an entire week (save your receipt!) so we may go back and try the trails, which looked fun.

  Great exercise for everyone

  We went for a walk around the fort and surrounding grounds. It was a perfect opportunity for our Scooter to get exercise and explore the fort. It's an amazing place and well worth the $5 person entrance fee.

  Lighthouse Trail

  Love it!! Shaded, flat, well maintained. One of the best trails I have been on.
