Pet Friendly Playland Beach
Playland Beach Playland Beach is a dog-friendly beach located on the grounds of Playland Park Amusement Park in Rye, NY. Dogs are welcome to join their owners on the beach from October 1st until April 28th. There is a limit of 3 dogs for each owner, and dog walking services are prohibited all year round. Make sure you keep Fido on a leash under six feet. See Details
Pet Friendly East Hampton Main Beach
East Hampton Main Beach Enjoy some beach frisbee or a casual stroll in the sand with your pup on the dog-friendly East Hampton Main Beach in New York throughout the year. Dogs are welcome off-leash anytime in the off-season. From May 15 through September 15, dogs are prohibited on the beach from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. At all other times during that time frame, dogs MUST be manually restrained on a leash within areas that are within 300 feet of any road end along the beaches. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and controlling them. The village actively patrols beaches and strictly enforces regulations. See Details
Mirror Lake Mirror Lake is a pet-friendly attraction in Lake Placid, NY. Bring Fido for a day on the beautiful clean water or walk around the 2.7-mile trail. Please pack doggie clean-up bags and check ahead to ensure that the village has no planned events. See Details
Lake George Dog Beach Fido is invited to play at Lake George Dog Beach in New York. The beach runs along the shoreline between the Lake George Steamboat Company and Million Dollar Beach. There is no fee to use the beach, but please pick up after yourself and your dog to ensure the beach is in good shape for future use. See Details
Port Jefferson Harbor Port Jefferson Harbor is a pet-friendly spot in New York. This small, harbor-side beach in the Village of Port Jefferson has an excellent area for owners to walk their pups. Try to go at low tide; there's a lot more beach then! The location is very dog-centric, so along with a romp on the beach, it's nice to walk through the village. See Details
Little Stony Point Park Leashed dogs are allowed to visit the pet-friendly Little Stony Point Park in Cold Spring, NY, any day of the year, especially on event days. Events may include "Spring Cleanup Days," "Maple Syrup Day," and an annual musical, "Hoot on the Hudson". Little Stony Point Park is open to visitors from dawn to dusk daily. Montauk Beach Montauk Beach is a pet-friendly destination in Montauk, MY. Owners are expected to exercise control, particularly on crowded beaches, and to clean up after their dogs. The beach can be accessed through several points along Old Montauk Highway or right in the center of town. Please note your furry friend isn't allowed on the beaches between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM from May 15 until the end of December. See Details

Rockaway Beach Rockaway Beach is New York City's only legal surfing beach, making it a top attraction in Queens, NY. Fido doesn't need a surfboard to enjoy a day in the sun. Leashed dogs are welcome on the beach and the pet-friendly boardwalk. Pet owners must have proof of current dog license and rabies vaccination. Please note that, although Rockaway Beach is open year round, dogs are only allowed during the off-season. See Details
Marine Park Off-Leash Area Fido is invited to play at the Marine Park Off-Leash Area in Brooklyn, NY. This secret little bay area is open to anyone. Please note the beach area can get crowded on weeks, and your pup isn't allowed on the playgrounds, ballfields and natural areas. See Details
Larchmont Dog Beach Larchmont Dog Beach is a pet-friendly area of beach in Larchmont, NY. The beach is located along Long Island Sound and privately owned by the Larchmont Manor Park Society. Visiting at low tide is recommended. Be sure Fido is leashed at all times. See Details
Atlantic Beach Atlantic Beach is a seaside community on the south shore of Long Island, NY. Located just 21 miles from Manhattan, the sandy beaches in the area are dog-friendly from October through March. Pet owners are reminded to keep their pooches on a leash under 6 feet while visiting and that dogs are prohibited from using the boardwalk year-round. See Details
Turtle Beach Turtle Beach is a pet-friendly secluded island only accessible by boat and no lifeguards in Long Lake, NY. The area is located on the very northern tip of Long Lake, where you will head north to find it. Please note there are no docks; you will pull your boat onto the beach or anchor out and swim to shore. See Details
Sodus Point Beach Park Sodus Point Beach Park is a pet-friendly destination in Sodus Point, NY. Leashed dogs are welcome on the beach, as long as they don't venture into the swimming area. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess left behind. See Details
Sandy Island Beach State Park Sandy Island Beach State Park is a pet-friendly, two-parcel spot in Pulaski, NY. The southern parcel only allows leashed dogs on the grass and not on the beach. The northern parcel is accessible only by boat. This portion is not considered a bathing beach and therefore allows dogs. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess that is left behind. See Details
Plumb Beach Plumb Beach is a dog-friendly beach in Brooklyn, NY. Dogs are welcome to romp and play off leash along this stretch of shoreline. The area can be quite windy and it is a popular place for windsurfing and kiteboarding. See Details
McCabe's Beach McCabe's Beach is a dog-friendly beach in Southold, NY, that overlooks the sound and has lifeguards and restrooms. Leashed dogs are allowed at the beach between the beginning of May through to the start of October from 9:00am until 6:00pm. Dogs are not permitted when a lifeguard is on duty. Fire Island Lighthouse After Labor Day until March 15, leashed dogs can join you on bayside beaches at the Fire Island Lighthouse in Bay Shore, NY. Pets are restricted from ocean beaches during the spring and summer months due to nesting birds.
