Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve, a former dairy farm, is a dog-friendly spot you can take your pooch to in New Jersey. The prime aim of this area of natural habitat is to preserve, protect, and grow the natural life that exists in the state, both animals and plants. You and your pooch can go on a nature walk on one of the trails, check out the exteriors of the old buildings that still stand there, and admire the vast array of colorful flowers when they bloom. The area is often known as the Raritan Headwaters. Dogs are welcome on a leash under six feet, as long as all mess is cleaned up after them. Bicentennial Park A nice little park on a 7 mile long lake. There are hiking trails in the woods along the lake with many places to sit and enjoy. There are lots of fish in the lake, and it is a popular place to fish. The lake allows non-motorized boats, so it's also a great place to kayak with you dog. You can stop at many enclaves to give you and the dog a rest. The community park has a paved path for the disabled, as well as picnic areas with grills, a soccer field, and tennis courts.
