Saint Simons Island Beaches Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, dogs are prohibited on the beach from 9am-6pm except between Beach Access Points 1-6. During allowable times and in non-summer months, dogs may be unleashed on the beach as long as they remain under the immediate control of the handler. The main attraction in the area is the Reynolds Mansion, which features marble sculptures, an ornately decorated Circus Room, murals by Athos Menaboni, a bowling lane, billiards, a library, and more. You'll even spot a 1920s lighthouse on the island that you can reach by one of the pet-friendly trails.
