Pet Friendly Royal Gorge Bridge and Park
Royal Gorge Bridge and Park Dogs are welcome to walk with their humans across North America's highest suspension bridge at Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome in the park, but are not permitted on any rides or inside the buildings. The park does provide five free kennels where your dog can relax while you enjoy the rides and restaurants at the park. Kennels are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. See Details
Pet Friendly Pikes Peak Highway
Pikes Peak Highway Pikes Peak Highway is pet friendly! There's no better place to bring a dog or puppy than to Pikes Peak, where there are trails, streams and lots of room to frolic in and critters to sniff out! It is strongly recommended that pets remain on a leash so as to avoid getting lost. However, leashes are not mandatory. Manitou Cliff Dwellings The Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings is a pet-friendly attraction. Discover what it was like to live in the Western United States 800 to 1,000 years ago in the 40-room dwellings built by the Anasazi people. Leashed dogs are also welcome inside the Anasazi Museum located within the Pueblo. The site is open daily but hours vary by season. Telluride Gondola Pets on leashes are allowed in select cabins of the gondola between Telluride and Mountain Village. Look for the sticker that designates a pet-friendly cabin on the window. Free to ride! At its core, the free gondola is transportation, meant to provide a simple and clean commuting option. All the electricity used to operate the Gondola is provided by wind and solar power. The cabins serve as lifts for skiers & snowboarders, mountain bikers, hikers, and tourists and locals alike. Miramont Castle Museum Small pets can be carried through the Miramont Castle Museum in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Larger pets are also allowed on leash on the grounds of the Victorian Garden at the Castle. Just make sure no evidence of the pet is left behind! See Details
Breckenridge "BreckConnect" Gondola Give Fido the chance to see the world from above on the Breckenridge "BreckConnect" Gondola. The Gondola is free to ride for both people and pets and runs from mid-June through mid-September, and all of ski season. BreckConnect glides over a wildlife preserve and to the top of Peak 8 in the Rocky Mountains, making several stops along the way. Leashed dogs are allowed on the Gondola and can explore the base of Peaks 7 and 8. The Breckenridge Gondola is in operation from 8am to 5pm. Parking fees may vary throughout the year. See Details
Breckenridge Nordic Center Breckenridge Nordic Center welcomes Fido on one ski trail and two snowshoe trails. New Nordic World is a dog-friendly 1.2-kilometer cross country ski trail. Barr Lake State Park Dogs are allowed to join you at certain areas of Barr Lake State Park. Pet owners should know that dogs are not permitted in the Wildlife Refuge located within the southern half of the lake, but they can join you on a number of the other pretty trails that surround the lake. Fans of fishing and boating can enjoy the calm waters at this destination, and bird spotters will be astounded by the 450 different varieties of birds that have been spotted in the area.
