Forest Park Wildwood Trail

Forest Park Wildwood Trail is a moderately easy, 30-mile hike that will take about 2 days to complete with Fido. Take a retreat to this wilderness hike that is within Portland city limits. Using road crossings as a turnaround point can shorten the trail. Please note that dogs must be on leash.

Tryon Creek State Park

Tryon Creek State Park has a nice and easy, 3.8-mile hike that takes about 1.5 hours to complete with Fido. This trail is heavily trafficked and allows bikers and horses, but it is a quick escape from Portland. Please note that dogs must be on leash no longer than 6 feet.

Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden

Leashed dogs are welcome at this lovely botanical garden and park. Your dog will love barking at the ducks. The garden is open April 1-September 30 from 6am-10pm and October 1-March 31 from 6am-6pm. Admission is free to all from October 1, through February 28. A $5 admission fee is charged between 10am-6pm, Tuesday through Sunday from March 1, through September 30. No admission fee on Mondays.
