Sweet Sage Cafe
Bring Fido to breakfast on Sweet Sage Cafe's pet-friendly patio called Garden of Eatin'. This bright and eclectic restaurant is just one hundred yards from the shores of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in North Redington Beach. Doggie diners can order from their own Canine Cuisine menu with items like the “French Poodle” toast, “Wake Up Little Shih Tsu” cheesy scrambled eggs, and the "Beagle" bagel with cream cheese and lox. For pet owners, Sweet Sage Cafe serves a variety of eggs Benedicts, egg scrambles, and breakfast platters and sandwiches. While you wait for a table, check out the pet items at the restaurant’s boutique.
After enjoying a big breakfast, retire back to St. Petersburg’s highly-rated Crystal Bay Hotel for a cat nap with Fido. The bed and breakfast welcomes two pets of any size for no additional fee.
Tin Shed Garden Cafe
Tin Shed Garden Cafe loves dogs! So much so that your pooch has his own menu to peruse on the patio of this restaurant in Portland’s Alberta neighborhood. To start, order the Fido Food, chicken and sweet potatoes served in a dog bowl, followed by Doggie Dessert, a peanut butter ice cream sundae topped with yogurt and a dog biscuit for your good boy. For you, the human menu features fresh, organic meals like the Scratch Biscuit Benedict, made with poached free-range eggs served atop a buttermilk biscuit with hollandaise sauce and your choice of roasted veggies, bacon and avocado, or Canadian bacon. Watusi Cafe
While visiting Hilton Head Island, bring your pup to Watusi Cafe’s pet-friendly patio for a special breakfast from its menu just for dogs. Choose from grain-free meals that feature dehydrated veggies served with high-quality proteins like scrambled eggs, egg whites and chicken. For dessert, there are sweet potato treats for sale. Pet parents will love what many have called “the best breakfast on the island.” The hardest decision will be choosing what to eat from the Benedicts, omelets, pancakes, and French toast for which Watusi is famous. Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. for early risers, and is served all day for those who prefer to sleep in on vacation.

Scramble
Scramble serves breakfast to hungry humans and their canine companions on its shaded patio in sunny Phoenix. Fido can start off his day with the restaurant’s Elvis Pup Cake, a single pancake topped with peanut butter, bananas and whipped cream served in a dog bowl. Proceeds from the Elvis Pup Cake benefit AZ Search Dogs. You’ll be sure to find something just as tasty for yourself on Scramble’s hearty breakfast menu which includes omelets, pancakes, burritos, and brizzas (breakfast pizzas). Wash it all down with a frozen vanilla toffee coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice.

Nauti Dawg Marina Cafe
Start the day off by eating a delicious breakfast dockside on the Hillsboro River with your hungry hound at Nauti Dawg Marina Cafe in Pompano Beach. Treat Fido to scrambled eggs from the restaurant’s special K9 Cuisine dog menu. Everything on the menu is grilled without spices, cut into bite-size pieces, and served in a dog bowl at your table. Fido can stay in the lap of luxury at Serenity Cove which allows two dogs up to 65 lbs for an additional fee of $20 per pet, per night. This canal-front rental includes a swimming pool and has a grassy yard where pups can play.
Citrus
Located two blocks from the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, the dog-friendly breakfast hotspot Citrus makes everything fresh from scratch using regional ingredients. Fido will feel the love from the moment he’s seated on the patio with a complimentary treat and water bowl. Citrus boasts a dog menu with scrambled eggs and bacon, pupcakes, and rice served with a choice of chicken or a hamburger patty. Popular breakfast entrees for humans include sweet potato biscuits, blueberry pancakes, and a yummy shrimp and crab eggs Benedict. If you’re visiting Citrus on the weekend, inquire about the specials.
Fido can lick his paws and curl up for a good night’s sleep to the sounds of the surf at Hampton Inn Virginia Beach Oceanfront North. The seaside property welcomes two pets up to 75 lbs for an additional fee of $75 (for stays of 1 to 4 nights) and $125 (for longer stays).
J. Christopher’s
Wake up bright and early for a real treat at J. Christopher’s in Savannah. This dog-friendly restaurant serves tasty breakfast fare for two- and four-legged customers on the outdoor patio. From the dog menu, order Fido the Puppy Chow (skillet potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage) or The Bulldog (skillet potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chicken, ham and turkey), depending on his appetite. For yourself, choose the J. ‘Grits’-opher’s, a bowl of cheddar cheese grits topped with bacon and jalapeños and served with a biscuit.
During your visit to The Hostess City of the South, stay at The Presidents’ Quarters Inn, a historic bed and breakfast.Two pets up to 30 lbs are welcome for an additional fee of $50 per stay, or two pets over 30 lbs for an additional fee of $100 per stay.
Chestnut Cottage Restaurant
Chesnut Cottage Restaurant has been serving hand-crafted breakfasts in Port Angeles since 1976. The venerable dining establishment welcomes pups on its patio and has a dog menu featuring Lucy and Ellie’s peanut butter-pumpkin dog cookie baked fresh in-house, a BARKuterie board, and Pike’s Puppy Parfait made with blended banana, peanut butter and Greek yogurt. The usual suspects (omelets, French toast, and egg platters) are elevated by Chesnut Cottage’s commitment to making everything from scratch (even the butter!) and serving the finest local ingredients like hardwood bacon which is cut extra thick by a local butcher.
While in Port Angeles, the Quality Inn Uptown is an affordable option that welcomes one pet up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $15 per night, and two pets up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $20 per night.
Cali Breakfast
Located in the heart of downtown San Diego, the pet-friendly Cali Breakfast serves dishes that are made from fresh, local produce. Cali Breakfast has a dog menu so you and your pups have the best experience on the patio. Order Fido a Cali-ccino with the Dry Dog Food Bowl or a Cali Patty. The colorful decor is accented with lush flowers and fresh plants both inside and out. Humans love the chilaquiles, Cali Bloodys, and soon-to-be-famous breakfast tacos.
While visiting sunny San Diego, get a room at Staypineapple, Hotel Z, Gaslamp San Diego. The hotel welcomes two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $25 per night. Dog bowls, beds, leashes and treats are available at the front desk.
Miss Ricky’s
Located at the Virgin Hotels Chicago, Miss Ricky’s is a trendy, retro-style diner that serves a delicious daily breakfast on its pet-friendly patio. Canine companions will be welcomed with a water bowl and treated like the VIPs they are. Order your pooch a side of turkey bacon or eggs while you enjoy yummy comfort food like fried chicken and waffles, stuffed french toast, and omelets loaded with goodness. Miss Ricky’s sidewalk patio is one of the best places for people- and dog-watching in the Windy City, too.
