La Quinta by Wyndham Pet Policy.

Can I Bring My Dog to La Quinta?

La Quinta’s Pet Policy

No more than two pets are allowed per room at any pet-friendly La Quinta property. Only domestic pets, like cats and dogs, are allowed to stay at La Quinta. Select hotels may charge a nominal non-refundable fee of $20 per night for up to two (2) domestic pets, for a maximum of $40 per stay per room (fees do not exceed $40 per stay). Some properties may have a pet weight limit and additional pet restrictions.

Everything You Need to Know Before You Bring Fido

La Quinta (a Wyndham brand) has long been popular among pet parents. With numerous perks and amenities, locations across North, Central and South America, and budget-friendly accommodations, the hotel chain provides a welcome stop for travelers who bring their pets along for business or leisure. Until recently, La Quinta's pet policy welcomed two pets for no additional fee across all of its pet-friendly properties. Beginning in 2019, however, the brand modified its policy, leaving the decision to charge a fee for pets up to each hotel. Even with this change, La Quinta continues to offer excellent value, comfort and service to its two- and four-legged guests.

Ready to Make La Quinta Your Home Away From Home?

La Quinta takes pride in its reputation for pet friendliness. The hotel chain maintains that, “as one of the pet-friendliest brands in the hotel business, La Quinta by Wyndham knows pets are beloved members of the family, and we love welcoming them at the vast majority of our 900-plus hotels. As of January 2019, select hotels may now implement a small fee for guests staying with their pets to help cover related maintenance and cleaning, allowing our hotels to continue providing the best possible experience for everyone who stays with us.”

Because most La Quinta hotels are individually owned and operated, the decision to charge for Fido’s stay will be up to the proprietor. For those who do, the standard non-refundable fee is $20 per night for up to two pets, for a maximum of $40 per stay. However, certain properties may deviate from this policy. Despite the change, many La Quinta hotels around the country continue to welcome pets for free.

Whether or not they charge a modest pet fee, the midscale La Quinta offers excellent value. Their modern, comfortably equipped accommodations include in-room workspaces, free daily breakfast and free high-speed WiFi. As La Quinta is now part of Wyndham Worldwide, guests can earn Wyndham Rewards bonus points when they stay at a La Quinta property. And the majority of its locations are pet friendly, with many accepting more than one dog as well as other pets (cat owners, take note). Select La Quinta hotels do not permit pets at all, so travelers should not assume that all of these properties will accommodate their four-legged companions.

While La Quinta’s pet policies vary by hotel, BringFido makes it easy to find and book the one that suits your needs. You can browse our site or mobile app to search pet-friendly La Quinta properties around the world that will accommodate you and your furry companions. And we do all the legwork for you. Our Canine Concierge team contacts the hotel to confirm the assignment of a pet-friendly room and can even help with any exceptions or special requests that you may have (like asking the manager to waive a weight limit or accept other animals in addition to dogs).
