Pet Friendly South Mill Pond Dog Park in Portsmouth, NH
South Mill Pond has a fenced in, double gated enclosure, where dogs of all sizes can play together. There is a surrounding unfenced off-leash area that borders the west end of the pond as well. Dogs in park must be spayed or neutered. From the city center take Pleasant street and bear right at parking lot. Dog park is in center of park at South Mill Pond.
Pet Friendly Jenness Beach in Rye, NH
There is approximately a 1 1/4 stretch of beach in Rye New Hampshire. In the middle of that stretch along the coast is a parking lot. The State beach is actually directly in front of that parking lot and/or from house on the left to house on the right. Beaches on either side of that tiny State beach are town beaches. You could almost throw a softball from one end of the State beach to the other. Dogs are not allowed on the State beach. To get around that law (if you want to walk the entire length of the beach) just walk around the beach in the parking lot. The hours for dogs allowed on the beach Memorial Day to Labor Day are before 9:00 am and after 7:00 pm. Please read sign posted at all entrances.
Pet Friendly Winnipesaukee River Trail in Tilton, NH
The Winnipesaukee River Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Tilton! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Winnipesaukee River Trail. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided map data for this trail to Bring Fido for informational purposes only.
