Pet Friendly South Mill Pond Dog Park in Portsmouth, NH
South Mill Pond has a fenced in, double gated enclosure, where dogs of all sizes can play together. There is a surrounding unfenced off-leash area that borders the west end of the pond as well. Dogs in park must be spayed or neutered. From the city center take Pleasant street and bear right at parking lot. Dog park is in center of park at South Mill Pond.
Pet Friendly Jenness Beach in Rye, NH
There is approximately a 1 1/4 stretch of beach in Rye New Hampshire. In the middle of that stretch along the coast is a parking lot. The State beach is actually directly in front of that parking lot and/or from house on the left to house on the right. Beaches on either side of that tiny State beach are town beaches. You could almost throw a softball from one end of the State beach to the other. Dogs are not allowed on the State beach.

The Winnipesaukee River Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Tilton! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Winnipesaukee River Trail. With over 60 brand name, factory outlets, specialty shops, restaurants and cafes, Settlers' Green Outlet Village is a walkers paradise. All dog friendly stores are marked with a sticker on the door. Dog waste bag dispensers are located throughout the shopping center. In mid-summer, there is always a 'Bring Your Dog Shopping Day' with free leashes, goodies, photo booth, and more.

With several trip options to choose from, Conway Scenic Railroad has a trip to suit everyone. See the beautiful New Hampshire scenery aboard the Valley Train or the Notch Train. Children under 4 years old ride for free in Coach on the Valley Train. Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome to join passengers in Coach cars on both trains. Leashed pets ride for free in the coach section of all of trains on the Conway Scenic Railroad that depart from 38 Norcross Circle in Conway. Notch Train tickets for adults range from $60-86, and Valley Train tickets are $19 to Conway and $31 to Bartlett. The Valley Train season starts on April 13 and ends on Dec. 31. You can catch a Notch Train from June 11. For most of the Notch Train season, the ride terminates at Crawford Station and lasts five hours. From September 21 through October 19 and again on November 2, it continues to Fabyan Station and lasts 5.5 hours. The season ends after the final journey on November 2.
