  OK place to stop while passing through town. Fairly dingy (but for the price probably OK). Not a lot of space for pups to go to the bathroom. Staff was friendly but not competent. I wouldn't really recommend, but if you find yourself there it won't be too bad.

  The best one we stayed in so far. Our pet was given a gift bag, beds were comfortable, the TV worked, and breakfast was delicious.

  Everything from the moment of check in was wonderful. Front desk staff were so kind and accommodating. Pet fee was $25 for two labs, not bad. We will be back!

  Comfortable and convenient

  Nothing fancy here but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and we were on the first floor making it easy to walk the dog in a nice big grassy area that they had. There was a Perkins right next door so we could walk over for food. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and they had plenty of space for us to park our truck with a 20 ft trailer.

  Great hotel

  We stopped by with our dog on the way to Yellowstone. This hotel was immaculate! Large rooms and staff was so welcoming to Wally, our dog. Nice area to walk him with poop bags and trash receptacles to put them in. Nice hot breakfast we took to the room to eat. Truly 5 bones from us for humans and their pups!

  Good hotel for pets

  A little treat and a waste bag was given upon check in. Next morning I waited to go down for food as I needed to bring her also. She was able to sit at the table with us, but of course could not go into where the food was. My dog barks at every little thing and thankfully no one complained. I did quiet her quickly, but still. All in all it was a good hotel for our pet.

  Maddie’s First Hotel

  We had so much fun! The staff was great and the room was so clean and fresh. We were all tired from traveling and had a wonderful sleep. We’ll be there again in July and are really glad! Thank you La Quinta and BringFido. 😍🐶

  Very Nice La Quinta

  We had an excellent stay here on our first time to Sioux Falls. Hotel is newer, very clean, and in a good location. They give your pup a treat and a poop bag, along with a summary of their pet rules when you check in. There is a designated pet area, and it seemed very clean to me. I think giving dog parents a poop bag when they check in is an excellent reminder to some to pick up after their pet. It is also in an area that is good for taking your dog for a walk. We would definitely stay here again!

  Great room

  We stayed here with our German shepherd on the way to Yellowstone. We always travel with her dog bed, which is large. The room was huge, with many options of where we could place her bed. Very nice after staying in places where we had to squish it in. Our bed was comfortable, the room was sparkling clean, and breakfast was good. There is a Perkins restaurant next door, so we got take-out and ate in our room. It's in a good walking neighborhood with sidewalks and grass. We were very pleased with our stay here.

  Pet friendly but smelly

  We stayed overnight on our way home after a Christmas visit with family. I called to confirm our pet reservation and the front desk clerk was very rude. When we arrived we were given a ground floor room which we thought is great to easily take the dog outside. The hotel was full and our room smelled terribly like cat urine - as if a cat had sprayed the entire room, including the pillows. Luckily we had our own pillows to use however when we told the front desk they could care less and only responded that it had been quite some time ago that a cat was in that room. There was no real designated pet area and the bushes outside the hotel door were a popular place for dogs to urinate. Lots of poop on the property as well. Pretty gross. We stayed at another hotel in Sioux Falls on the way in and I would not stay at La Quinta again.

  Great location

  Easy access off I-29. Room was clean, very nice and updated. Room location was close to exit door for easy access to the doggie area. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

  Great!

  Started out a little sketchy with unprogrammed key cards, but everything else was great. Ground floor, right by the exit. Room appeared to be recently redecorated. No wet dog smell & no overwhelming perfumey smell. I'll go back again, definitely.

  Wonderful stay!

  Very nice accommodations and friendly staff. We were pleasantly surprised for a more budget hotel. A great stop to rest and recharge with the pups on a road trip. Would recommend!

  The room was above average for the price point. The dog area however was a landline of large dog turds of various ages. Clearly the hotel does not do maintenance there.

  What a treat!

  Booked here last minute and was very pleased with the stay. The breakfast was good, the room was very clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly, and as with all our La Quinta experiences on this trip they loved the dogs! There was a dedicated dog space beside the hotel and they provided a little treat bag with bones and poop bags for my pups. Order Boss' Pizza if you stay here because it was delish! A dog park within a 10 min drive too.

  Great experience!

  Everyone made us feel welcome during our stay. Room was clean with no issues. In addition, I left behind some expensive eyeglasses and they were super helpful with finding them and held them so I could pick them up on our way home.

  Matches expectations

  Nice hotel that allows dogs in rooms. Room was fairly clean and roomy. They gave us a room near the side door that goes to the dog area which was nice. Clean up bags and trash can in dog area and is clean if a bit small but ok to do "business." Got a dog treat and bags when arrived. Enjoyed the free breakfast.

  So dog friendly!

  This was our first experience staying in a hotel with our 52-pound doodle, and what a great start. There were lots of dogs staying here and all felt welcome. The dog could join us in the lounge for free beverages and snacks at happy hour and for breakfast. A nice, clean hotel too.

  Simple and convenient

  We saw several dogs at this hotel when we stayed with our Golden. They are very accommodating, plenty of grassy areas as well as pet waste stations. They gave us rooms near the sides of the hotel so we could easily bring our dog out the side door.

  One of the best pet friendly hotels

  They accept any size dog which is the key for us. We have a well behaved English Mastiff but obviously huge. The hotel is set up very well and comfortable with a good pet area on the South end.

  The person at the desk was pleasant & welcoming. She had a little baggie with dog bones and an (empty) poop bag for my pup. Our room was on the 2nd floor, but it wasn't a big deal to go down for a puppy bathroom break. Best of all, though the hotel was close to the highway, it was also near a neighborhood and I was able to take a little neighborhood sidewalk walk. As for the hotel, it was fine--had what we needed--not super high end elegant, but fine. I would definitely return.

  The Best La Quinta In America?

  From its nightly free happy hour, to its wonderful biscuits and gravy for breakfast; from the walk-in shower, new decor, and my inability to find even one stain on any carpet or scuff on any wall in the entire hotel; from the marble countertops to the abundance of grass for your furry family, this may be the best La Quinta in the entire Nation. An absolute 10 out of 10 for service, cleanliness, upscale decor, hot breakfast, nightly happy hour, and pet hospitality.

  Excellent stop on the way home

  Sioux Falls La Quinta was lovely. The rooms were bright, clean and spacious. The grounds were clean, and the location was fantastic (nice to be back in the land of people cleaning up after their dogs). We did a quick drive to see the falls a couple exits up the interstate (might be even better when it's not pouring rain, but at least it kept the smoke away). This one's a keeper--and they handed out treats at check in(which the puppers greatly appreciated). All good.

  No problem that our dogs were with, smooth going on them joining us. Polite staff, not an especially warm welcome, which some might appreciate if your dogs actually feel more comfortable without attention from strangers. 2 elevators and comfortable carpeted (not-scary) stairwells for getting around. While waste bags and disposal bins were available, there was still lots of dog poo outdoors. Plenty of space to potty, but the neighborhood didn't appear particularly walkable.

  Wonderful, clean, upgraded hotel that welcomes dogs. Great place. Plus allowed us to keep our freedoms and we could decide if we needed to wear masks. We will return here whenever we are passing through the area.

  Large rooms!

  This hotel was very new and clean. They had an area out front where our Great Dane got to run in the snow off-leash without the possibility of him going on a road or something. The rooms were large and we didn’t feel cramped. Great stay!

  Nice but no covid safety measures

  The room itself was nice and had some good areas to walk our dog. However, if you care about COVID safety don’t go here. No staff had on masks and most guests didn’t either. The indoor pool was packed.

  We stayed here for an evening as we headed west. Everyone was super friendly, our room was very clean, and we had a restful evening as it was very quiet. There's a very limited area for pups to take care of business but we made do. Kudos to the Wyndham chain and especially the owners of this property for making traveling with your pup a breeze.   Friendly staff, clean hotel, not the best neighborhood

  This was the first dog friendly hotel I'd stayed at with my 90 pound pup. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean. There was a faint dog odor in the room, but nothing horrible. We were placed near the end door which went right out to the pet area outside. The only downside, I did not feel super safe taking the dog outside after dark by myself.

  This place was a nice stay. There was not really a place to walk the dogs. But clean room nice breakfast. There was not enough towels for the pool which was a bummer. Overall an ok stay.

  We stayed one night with our Bassett Hound and had a great stay. Nice clean room, great location, good breakfast. Samatha was our check-in host and she was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and we will definitely stay there again! Highly recommended.

  The rooms are clean, the staff was great. We requested being near a door leading outside for easier potty trips. The check-in gal made reservation arrangements to meet our needs. We will stay there again! FYI ...We have 2 LARGE dogs and they did not flinch when we checked in!

  Comfy and friendly.

  The front desk was very helpful and we were put on the top floor next to the carpeted stairs (which made it easy for the dogs) so it was very quiet, and we had easy access to the side door to the pet area. The room was super comfy as well but very simple. I would stay here again for sure.

  LaQuinta Sioux Falls

  What a fabulous place. We try to stay at LaQuintas when traveling with our dogs. This has been one of the finest. No room smell was detected from either pets or cover-up deodorizer--just a natural smell. We had a very large room (313) --very comfy bed and clean all around. The breakfast was superb; lots of choices. Even though this place was conveniently located near I29, our room was quiet. Would highly recommend this LaQuinta!!
