  Good stay

  Dogs welcomed with a door tag and dog treat. We weren’t familiar with the area yet, which would have been helpful, but next day it was a very short drive to the Plaza. Hotel had no grassy spots, but was definitely clean and comfortable.

  A great find

  Perhaps the nicest place we’ve stayed in our BringFido history. Lovely (albeit smallish) room with balcony, a staff who loves dogs and rolls out the carpet for them, great hotel restaurant, close proximity to old town Santa Fe and market. My only quibble was that we were surprised by a resort fee on the bill -- not exorbitant nor undeserved, but just unexpected. We would stay there again with or without our dog.

  Great place!

  Not the cheapest ($20 pet fee, $20 resort fee, taxes etc) BUT it was quiet, in a great location, had a little balcony, and the wood fires in the restaurant area made the place smell great (not too strong). Dog got a treat and it was easy to take her out for a walk. Would definitely go back!

  Perfect location!

  Perfect balcony, my dog sat there almost all day while we napped. Dog friendly restaurants nearby --Cowgirl BBQ was my favorite.

  Superb

  This is a lovely hotel. My room was quiet and well appointed. They even provided dog treats and a poop bag! My only “complaint“ is there is not much of an area anywhere for your dog to find relief. We managed, but it took awhile. Nonetheless, I will gladly return!

  Great hotel & service

  Hotel Santa Fe is in a great location for walking to a lot of places. The southwest ambience was lovely and the restaurant was really good too. The service in all areas was great! We were even able to bring our dog Luna into the restaurant.

  This hotel was exceptional. I've never encountered so many genuinely happy people so eager to be of help. I think they should advertise the hotel as a dog hotel that allows people.

  Great for people & small dogs

  I have two small dogs and it was perfect for us. Enough room to roam around the property. I wish we had the bottom floor for easy outdoor access. Our 2nd-floor room balcony view was nice especially when it started to snow. From a human perspective, this place was beautiful. Love the South West look and feel. The food and amenities were great. For dogs, it was above average - better than other hotels we've stayed at. It might be a bit cramped if you have bigger dogs. I don't know much bigger the other rooms are, but the hallways are long and narrow.

  Very nice hotel!

  We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. They greeted our golden retriever with open arms and put us on the bottom level, close to a door which made it great for potty breaks!

  Lovely adobe hotel, great room

  One of the best BringFido hotels we have stayed in. It has a lovely southwestern vibe and is in walking distance of the old part of Santa Fe. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Good places to walk the dog around the hotel and in the neighborhood.

  Couldn't be more pleased

  The Hotel Santa Fe is totally comfortable with dogs and also is a wonderful place to stay near the Plaza. The pool and fitness room were bonuses. We had no issues and enjoyed our stay. One caveat: as others have noted, there are add-on fees and the dog fee is the most expensive we've encountered.

  Great Location and Stay

  Beautiful hotel in a great part of Santa Fe minutes from downtown and around the corner from Santa Fe Brewery. Staff was attentive; room was large, clean and comfortable; room service was great; bed was comfy; and whole stay was very dog friendly. Only downside is not a lot of outdoor space to relax with your pup, so plan on staying out at one of the many local restaurants/bars that is dog friendly.

  No problem having our dog. Easy access and the Jr suite was a perfect size. Not as much walking space as I would have liked but still a great stay.

  Amazing hotel and super dog friendly!

  We loved our stay here! The hotel and its grounds were gorgeous and so peaceful. Lots of areas to walk nearby and activities to enjoy. We could hear a little noise from nearby rooms, so if your dog is sensitive to that perhaps consider a noise machine, but it didn't effect our experience. We loved it here and would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

  Very Santa Fe

  While Hotel Santa Fe is dog friendly, the pet "area" is located at the back corner of the property and couldn't be larger than 10 X 10; it is not fenced and is right next to a busy street. A very small dog might find this acceptable but it wasn't enough roaming space for a 35 lb. dog. We walked up and down the sidewalk many times in order to take care of business. In addition, ground floor units near exterior exits are preferable. Second floor rooms, although lovely, are located down long, winding corridors with elevator access (stairs are available if your dog will use them - mine wouldn't). If it weren't for the very small dog area (that was misinterpreted as being fenced), four bones would be appropriate.

  Good Location, So-So For Dogs

  Starting with the positives, the hotel is in a good location, within close walking distance of the Plaza and several nice, dog-friendly restaurants. We may have been spoiled by a great experience at a hotel in Taos, NM for two nights before we got to Santa Fe, but I found the Hotel Santa Fe & Spa to be, at best, "dog tolerant" or "dog-friendly-ish." heir Q&A's kind of say it all: "Although dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, bar, outdoor patio or pool area . . ." That pretty much eliminates eating at the hotel with the dogs, even though they have a very large patio that could easily accommodate them. They say they have a "Doggy Park," though I walked around the perimeter twice and never ran into it. I don't doubt they have one, but it's certainly not a prominent part of the facilities. The dog-friendly first floor rooms are small for two humans and downright cramped for two humans and two dogs.

  Of the three hotels we booked and pre-paid for through BringFido during this four-day trip, this was the only one that hit us with extra fees unconnected to anything we bought or used, such as meals, drinks, etc (about $40 in hotel/room fees, etc. tacked onto the pre-paid bill). The staff attentiveness was also only so-so. We arrived in Santa Fe early (around 11 am). They couldn't check us in at that time but promised to work up a room ASAP and call my cell when it was ready. We went exploring until the normal check-in time (4 pm), without ever hearing from them. So, I give it about 3 bones. The location was good, and it was a clean and generally nice facility. But, for dog-friendliness I rank it about like a Best Western or other hotel that lets you keep a dog if you pay an extra fee, but that's about it.

  Beautiful property near all the sights of Santa Fe. Dogs are not only allowed but welcomed as honored guests! Great stay and would return!

  Very nice hotel

  Walking distance to the center of town. The western landscape doesn't always have grassy spots for pups to do their thing, but a nice hotel and there are areas to walk your dog.

  Great Staff and Beautiful Resort

  While we stayed during covid, we had a lovely time in Santa Fe. The hotel is in a great location and our puppy was happy in the room. The staff was friendly and parking was ample. You can walk easily to shopping and restaurants.

  Pet people this is the place for you! Very pet friendly staff, made sure to tell us we could bring out dog to the restaurant patio. The outdoor pet area is not huge, but certainly big enough. We would stay here again!

  Even though we stayed on the third floor the dogs did well with the elevator. Not much green space for the dogs. Very clean and well maintained as well as quiet.

  Such a great find, and a great value too. Staff are just superb, the rooms are well set up and stylish, the bar and restaurant excellent and your pup is made welcome everywhere. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Santa Fe ever again.

  Great Location and Dog Friedly

  Loved staying @ Hotel SF. They greeted my dog w/ a few treats and dog resources in the area (dog sitting services, parks, etc.). There is a pet relief area along the fence line, in the rear of the hotel. My boy was welcome in the lounge area. He loved all the attention! The hotel even offers dog sitting services. We were able to walk to the plaza in an easy 10 minutes. Loved staying here.
