Vic's on the River
- WilliamMar. 3, 2022Very dog friendly!!
we’ve stopped here 3 years in a row with our two large Labs. they always bring out water and treats. the hostess is a real dog lover. Food is quite good (we get the carpaccio). will definitely be back next year!
- ColleenJun. 16, 2021Best lunch we’ve had in Savannah!
We tried to go for dinner but they do not take reservations for outside patio where the pups are welcomed. Came back for lunch today- very pleased. Foods delicious. We sat in the shade and they immediately brought our dog a bowl of ice water and lots of attention 😊
- BrianJun. 5, 2021Very dog friendly, but overrated otherwise
This place is very dog friendly which is good.. but, to be honest, the food is overpriced and underwhelming... I've traveled alot and I recognize overpaying for an "expectation"..
- SethMay. 15, 2021Very Dog Friendly!
I initially saw Vic's on this app. Once we were on River Street a local dog parent told us that we had to try Vic's! I'm glad that we did! Michelle, the outdoor dining host was fantastic! She was super friendly and welcoming! She made sure my pups were well taken care of! She brought treats and a bowl full of water for my dogs! All the staff we encountered at Vic's were fantastic and very friendly to our dogs! I highly recommend!
- AlexanderApr. 30, 2021Popped our heads in to check out the menu
The wonderful lady offered my little pup a bowl of water since he seemed thirsty. Awesome!
- ChristineMar. 19, 2021Our favorite spot for lunch!
We’ve been staying in the area for the winter and have loved going to Vics for late day lunches on their patio. We’ve been here a handful of times and the staff has always been amazing! They always bring a big fresh bowl of cold water and give lots of love! The tables are spaced out so you don’t feel crowded either.
Other than having a happy pup, the service is always good, the food is great and we keep going back!
- StephanieSep. 29, 2020Really took care of my boxer....and me
Went for lunch and was seated on the patio, was taken through the restaurant to a table outside. My pup is not dog friendly so they were sure to seat us away from other dogs. This was her first road trip and her stomach was upset so they grilled plain chicken breast for her, two helpings and she gobbled it up. My food was delicious as well. Great staff, great food and super dog friendly in a lovely setting
- LauraSep. 23, 2019Very Welcoming
We came with our two Doxies. We expected for them to sit us outside, but they sat us at a cozy indoor table. The waiter brought over two bowls of water which was greatly appreciated by the pups and mom and dad! The food was very good. The waitstaff treated us very kindly. Highly recommend a visit with your pups here!
- JenJul. 4, 2019Very Pup Friendly
They welcomed us in with our dog and even brought us treats!
- TeresaMay. 13, 2019Excellent lunch
Not only was the food at Vic’s spot on, but they were very dog friendly. No less than 3 employees asked if they could bring water for our pup. Highly recommend for a visit with your fur child.
- SaraMay. 2, 2019Breakfast on a rainy morning
We got breakfast one morning in early March 2019 when visiting Savannah. We were able to take our dog right into the coffee bar. They had very yummy coffee, muffins and cinnamon rolls to get us going in the morning.
- JenniferFeb. 14, 2019Pretty Bummed
Dog friendly patio was closed
- RickyFeb. 1, 2019Seasonal dog allowances
Sadly we were turned away due to their porch being closed
- KathyMore than a year agoAwesome !
The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to all 4 of us ( 2 humans +2 pups). Beyond kind and friendly.
- RiaApr. 28, 2018Great food
We had lunch here on Friday. They have nice covered patio with lots of shades. They brought water bowl right away, our Golden Retriever got lots of scratches from the waitress. Food was delicious. Lunch is around $14. Food was delivered quickly. Highly recommended. Street parking.
- RFWMore than a year agoGood food and very accomodating
A bit upscale, which is what we were looking for. They do not take reservations for the outdoor patio, so it is first come first served. We were fortunate to walk right in a little after 7pm on a Thursday but within 20 minutes all of the patio tables were taken. Good food. Friendly and accommodating staff. We were walking along the river, but they welcomed us to walk in through the coffee shop and take the elevator up to the restaurant, walking through to the outdoor patio.
- Trish MMore than a year agoDelicious, Excellent Service, Dog-Friendly Patio Seating
It was a bit more expensive, but we were impressed with everything that we ordered. Our waiter was excellent and provided us with a water bowl. The patio seating was perfect as it is enclosed with railings and covered. We'll definitely visit again while in Savannah.
- AmandaMore than a year agoFantastic!
The staff was very friendly with my dog. They brought him a water bowl and he got several scratches from these great people! The patio has plenty of tables to pick from and is very shady.
- DavidMore than a year agowouldn't seat us
Made online reservations for Sunday lunch. In the notes section I mentioned that we had a dog and needed to sit outside. When I got there and checked in and told them I had a dog, they told me that they did not allow dogs inside and that because they were understaffed they could not see us outside.
- BillMore than a year agoGreat food and service
Great food and service. Very dog friendly. Great atmosphere.
- LeeMore than a year agoPet-friendly and Good food
Great atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. We entered off River St through the coffee shop and they let us use the elevator to go to the fourth floor and out to patio.
- KatieMore than a year agoGreat for People and Dogs
My humans have brought me here twice. The loved their food both times, there service was excellent, and the brought me a nice cool bowl of water. I think you will be pleased if you give it a try!
- DianeMore than a year agoGreat!
Immediately brought bowl of water for our Lab. Nice covered area. Stopped for lunch on Sunday. Great food and service. Will definitely come back.
- HowardMore than a year agoDog Friendly People
There is an outdoor deck with full umbrella covering upstairs. It was a hot humid day and they were not expecting outdoor patrons, but when we showed up with the dog, they went out of their way to make us all comfortable. A bowl of ice water was presented for the dog. They put out 4 fans to help more the the air around and make it more comfortable. Our wait person checked on us frequently and we had a nice conversation with him. the food was excellent. We want to go back bout have to leave before we will get a chance. Skip Paul Deen and go to Vic's.
