Pet Reservations
Bangkok Airways has different restrictions on the amount of pets allowed to travel on each of their aircraft. On AT72 and A319 aircraft, there is a limit of 2 pets in the cargo hold; and on A320 aircraft there is a limit of 3 pets. You need to notify the Reservations Department at least 24 hours before your departure time by email at reservation@bangkokair.com or contact them via telephone at +66 (2) 270 6699 to guarantee Fido a spot on board.
Pets in the Cabin
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to travel in the cabin on Bangkok Airways.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Dogs and cats are permitted to travel in the temperature-controlled area of the cabin hold with Bangkok Airways. The maximum combined weight of pets and carriers varies depending on the aircraft you are traveling on; with a limit of 44 lbs (20 kg) on AT72 aircraft, and 132 lbs (60 kg) on A319 and A320 aircraft. The fee for pets traveling as checked baggage is 90 THB for each kg and sector on domestic flights. For pets traveling on international flights, the rate is subject to a zonal fare.
Carrier Guidelines
For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers on AT72 aircraft must not exceed 31" x 18" x 25" (80 cm x 45 cm x 65 cm); and carriers on A319 and A320 must not exceed 39" x 23" x 30" (100 cm x 60 cm x 75 cm). Only 1 pet is permitted to travel in each carrier. Carriers made entirely of welded mesh or wire mesh are not allowed.
