Pets in the Cabin
Small cats, dogs, and household birds can travel in the cabin if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 17 lbs (8 kg). Each passenger is permitted to bring 1 pet in the cabin with Fly Red Wings. Animals traveling in the cabin are charged as excess baggage. Prices vary depending on the size and weight of the pet and carrier.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Animals who exceed the weight limit to travel in the cabin may be accepted for transport as checked baggage in the hold instead. 2 animals can be placed in the same carrier if they weigh less than 30 lbs (14 kg) each. Additionally, 3 animals under 6 months old can travel together if they are under the weight limit. Animals traveling as checked baggage are charged an excess fee. Prices vary depending on the size and weight of the pet and carrier.
Pets in Cargo
Only dogs, cats, and household birds can be transported as checked baggage or in the cabin. All other animals (those who are traveling alone or are very large) must be shipped as cargo instead. For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the combined dimensions of 45" (115 cm) and 8" (20 cm) in height. For pets traveling in the hold, carriers should be rigid (wood or plastic, or in a metal cage with proper ventilation and a strong lock. Animals must be able to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably inside. Carriers should have a leak-proof bottom with an absorbent lining. Bird cages should be covered with a dense opaque cloth.
