Garuda Indonesia requires pet owners to inform the airline well in advance of their travel time. Animals are not accepted on ATR72-600 aircraft. Garuda Indonesia may refuse any animal for travel.
Pets in the Cabin
Unfortunately, pets are not accepted in the cabin on Garuda Indonesia flights.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Animals are only accepted on domestic flights less than 2 hours without any transit. The maximum combined weight of pets and their carriers must not exceed 70 lbs (32 kg). Animals must be accompanied by valid health and vaccination certificates, entry permits, and all other documents needed for entry. The fee for animals traveling in the hold is charged as excess baggage and ranges between 47,000-2,300,000 IDR depending on the destination and origin of your travel.
For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must meet IATA regulations.
