To travel with your pet, you need to contact GOL at (0300) 101-2001. The number of pets per flight is limited, so make sure you make your reservation well in advance of your travel plans to guarantee Fido a spot on board.
Pets in the Cabin
Animals are permitted to travel in the cabin with GOL if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 22 lbs (10 kg). This service is not available on flights with GOL partner airlines. Pets traveling in the cabin incur a charge of $60 on domestic flights and $150 on international flights.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Cats and dogs weighing more than 22 lbs (10 kg) must travel in the cargo hold as checked baggage. Animals should be clean, healthy, and free of any unpleasant odor. Pets traveling as checked baggage incur a charge of $60 on domestic flights and $150 on international flights.
Pets in Cargo
Pets with a combined weight with their carrier exceeding 66 lbs (30 kg) will have to travel as cargo instead. This service is offered by GOL's Cargo Shipping Service. For more information, you can find out more information by contacting them via telephone at (0300) 101-2001.
For pets traveling in the cabin, carrier's internal dimensions must be adequate for the size of the animal to move around comfortably. If the carrier is a rigid carrier, it must be made of fiberglass or stiff plastic and must be escape-proof. Carriers made of wood and straw won't be accepted on board. For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 34" x 45" x 56" (82 cm x 114 cm x 142 cm). Carriers must be lined with a material to avoid leakage and labeled appropriately inside.
The following breeds of snub-nosed dogs are not permitted to travel on board: American Bulldog, American Bully, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Brussels Griffon, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chinese Pug, Chow Chow, Dogue de Bordeaux, Dutch Pug, English Bulldog, French Bulldog, Lhasa Apso, Pekingese, Pug, and Shih Tzu; and the following cat breeds: Burmese, Exotic, Himalayan, and Persian. Emotional support animals are welcome on flights to/from United States and Cancún.
