Norra allows passengers to bring small pets (cats, dogs, rabbits, and rodents) in the cabin. Pets and carriers must weigh less than 17 lbs (8 kg) to be accepted on board. Finnair recommend dog, cat, and rabbit owners use a soft carrier to transport pets, as the animal will have to be stowed underneath the seat for the whole flight. People traveling in business class won't be able to bring a pet due to the reclining seats. The fees for transporting a pet in the cabin vary depending upon your destination. Passengers taking Fido on a short haul flight are charged 60 EUR and 120 EUR for long haul.

Pets who exceed the limit to fly in the cabin and weigh less than 165 lbs (75 kg) can travel as checked baggage instead. Pets are charged different rates depending on your destination. Pets traveling on short haul flights have fees of 120 EUR and long haul flights have fees of 600 EUR.

Pets and carriers that exceed 165 lbs (75 kg) must be shipped as cargo instead. Finnair Cargo provides safe and quick animal transport services to most direct Finnair destinations.

For pets traveling in the cabin, soft pet carriers can have similar dimensions as regular carry-on baggage. The maximum dimensions should be 21" x 15" x 8" (55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm). Rodents must always be transported in a hard case. The maximum dimensions for a hard case are 14" x 12" x 8" (35 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm). Your carrier should be flexible enough to fit under the seat in front of you and your pet should be able to stand up and lay down comfortably inside. For pets traveling in the hold, carriers must allow the animal to stand, turn, and lie down in a natural manner. Carriers must comply with IATA standards and be large enough to allow pets to stand up straight. They can be made of Fiberglass, metal, rigid plastics, weld metal mesh, solid wood or plywood. The specifics for carriers in the hold depend on the animal you are transporting and their size.
