Dogs and cats with a combined weight with carrier of 11 lbs (5 kg) can be transported in the cabin with Somon Air. Passengers traveling with pets in the cabin will be charged double the excess baggage fee, which varies depending on the destination.

Cats, dogs and birds that weigh more than 11 lbs (5 kg) with a carrier can fly as checked baggage with Somon Air. Animals must be at least 8 weeks old to travel. 2 pets are permitted to travel in the same carrier if they weigh less than 30 lbs (14 kg) each and are used to each other. Passengers traveling with their pets in the hold will be charged double the excess baggage fee, which varies depending on the destination.

For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must meet IATA regulations, and large enough for pets to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably inside. Additionally, carriers must be waterproof and have proper ventilation on 4 sides.

Due to the strict restrictions on the import of animals into the UAE, Somon Air does not accept animals for transportation on Dushanbe-Dubai flights.
