Bayfront Inn Rocks!

Bayfront Inn

We took our 18 year old chiweenie dog, Whipple on a vacation to Morro Bay and the Bayfront Inn was the perfect hotel!

The location could not be better:
1. Right across the street from the bay.
2. Within sight of Morro Rock.
2. Right next to the stacks.
3. Within walking distance of Morro Rock, Morro Rock Beach, all the shops and restaurants, and the otters!

We booked the room through the BringFido website. When we booked, we included we were bringing a small dog. We called the hotel ahead of time to check on the reservation and they were not aware we were bringing a dog but it was no problem. They charged us the $30 pet fee over the phone (the total cost for our 4 night stay). When we checked in, they gave us a pet welcome bag with a small blanket, some treats, and dog information. The blanket came in very handy when it got a little chilly and we wrapped it around our dog when we were walking him in his stroller. Special shoutout to Lee in the office. She was so nice to us and our dog during our stay! Just an FYI, there is not a place on the property for your dog to go to the bathroom but you can walk a couple doors down and there are some planty spots for your dog to relieve themselves. We felt very safe in the area.

We stayed in Room 20 (probably the best room in the hotel) which was just up the stairs above the hotel office. Our window overlooked the bay and the rock. It was a small room with a King size bed, tv, minifridge, blow dryer, and small shower. It was very cute, cozy, and romantic. We brought extra blankets and our dog’s bed and we were very comfortable.

The hotel gives you a voucher where you are able to go to Frankie and Lola’s restaurant (located right next door) each morning of your stay and get delicious Cinnamon Rolls the size of your head! Be sure to also grab breakfast! Check out their menu online before your stay! Goddess Goods is very close as well and they have lots of delicious healthy juices, smoothies, and food.

We walked around the whole area with our dog in his stroller and ate at many places with dog friendly patios. We rented a kayak and brought our dog in his carrier. We paddled the whole bay and saw all the boats, seals, and otters (even a mommy and baby otter!)! My boyfriend went paddle boarding. We walked to the rock. We drove to Olde Port Beach in Avila which is a great off leash dog beach. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time! We strongly recommend staying at the Bayfront Inn for your Morro Bay dog adventure! Thank you Bayfront Inn!
