Smells like an old ashtray

I would pass on this one. The entire hallway smelled like cigarette smoke and weed. A permanent kind of smell. Not one that was new. The smell was marginally better in our room. When the staff asked us about our stay, and we mentioned the odors, they were well aware of "the problem." The pet relief area was not well maintained (poop everywhere) and I saw a hotel guest let her dog off leash, popping everywhere, right at the front door, who did not even try to pick up the waste. A lot of loiterers (no clue if they were hotel guests or friends of guests) who hung out by the pet relief area, making the area not seem as safe.

The room itself was passable. The pullout mattress was stained (looked like from a pet, since it was at the head of the mattress) and the bathroom was tiny. The water only drained in the shower/tub if the plug was fully out, so you get a great view of hair in the drain. Breakfast was a grab-and-go granola bars and packaged muffins station. If I have to list a positive, the hotel is about 2 blocks away from a nature trail that was nice and well shaded. (PS - avoid the Chilis across the street. Horrible. But if you do stay in this hotel, the Metro Dinner was fantastic.)

We’d stay here again!

Newer hotel (we stayed June 2022), so everything was nice and clean. Room was spacious. Nice glass shower. Keurig with coffee pods in the kitchen and basic cups/plates. Great free breakfast (hot eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffle maker, bagels, croissant, yogurt, fresh fruit). One TV on a swivel so you could watch from bed or couch. Located right next to a great park with a playground and riverwalk path that had tons of garbage bins doggy pet waste bags, and a water fountain dog bowl. Our room did have a dog odor to it, but not offensive. Smelled like a home with a dog (not urine). A/C worked like a champ. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
