Good value for a night
Motel 6 Espanola NmThe room was better looking then the general appearance of the hotel on the outside. The area across the parking lot had beer bottles and trash that should be cleaned up. In general the room was clean but the toilet in the bathroom needed some work. Room temp was easy to control and the hotel was quiet, although the walls were thin, so we slept well. The WiFi was stable, easy to connect to, and fast. The price was well below other options.

Rough Stay
Baymont by Wyndham AbileneOverall the hotel is a bit run down, and the cost value wasn't there. In the room, the sink and tub drained very slowly. The shower didn't work so no shower in that room. The chairs were stained and filthy. I suggest the owners invest some money to bring the hotel up to a minimum standard.

Nice stopover
Palomino MotelGood value for a night. Room was clean, good internet and folks were nice. The hotel didn’t have a place to walk the dog so we used a vacant lot next door. The lot was a bit trashy but it was better than nothing. I would stay here again.

Small dog walk area
La Quinta by Wyndham Lubbock SouthThe hotel was convenient along our trip route that is why we stayed there. Room was a nice size and clean. The area to walk the dogs was a bit small. If you want a bigger dog walking area, stay at the La Quinta near the med center.

Funky but nice
Hotel Luna MysticaPlace was kind of funky. About 20 or so retro camper trailers of various sizes. The people were nice. Lots of good places to walk the dog. The unit we rented (Ralphie) was a bit small for the two of us and our Golden Retriever, but there was a nice view off the deck and we enjoyed the evening sitting and looking at the mountains. Bed was uncomfortable. If we stayed there again we would opt for a larger unit.

Nice place to stay
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lubbock West Medical CentrThis is a nice hotel to stay and the staff was very friendly. I downgraded it one bone for the following reasons. One of the table lights didn’t work and another worked but the socket was broken and unsafe. The internet connection was unstable and hard to connect, but I was able to connect eventually. Lastly the dog walking area needed some clean up so peoples shoes wouldn’t get soiled. In spite of these things, I would stay there again. I thought it was a good value.
