Great hotel near nature trail
La Quinta by Wyndham West MonroeWe are traveling to Tennessee from Texas and checked in almost at midnight. It’s right off the freeway so it was easy to access. Hotel was clean and nice hot shower and comfortable beds. We especially liked that there was no pet fee and we could stay with 2 big doggos. The best part was that it’s literally right next to a 1.5 mile mature trail (trail entrance right at the hotel entrance) and we were able to take a nice walk in the morning. This maybe my most favorite road trip hotel. Will stay again.

Good stop on a road trip
Motel 6 Amarillo TX - AirportWe stayed here on our way to and from Colorado. It is a clean space at a great price, especially with no pet fee. The rooms are simple but clean and was adequate for a night’s stay. We saw many of the guests were also travelers. The middle of the property has grassy area around the pool where pups can go. You can still hear the highway but it is not too bad. We also stayed in the very back of the hotel which was quieter but I didn’t like as much. We didn’t get Wi-Fi didn’t. Also, the back side of the hotel faces a residential area and there was a stray dog that approached us and tried to attack our pup. Not the hotel’s fault so we will probably stay here again on our next road trip but will probably request a room, not facing the very back of the property.
