Safety Concern
Super 8 by Wyndham Raleigh DowntownRoom itself was fine, clean but accidentally booked a smoking room. Requested change to non smoking room & desk person would not permit even though clearly rooms were open. Fence outside had razor wire & upon arrival there was an unfortunate person walking & yelling on the street in front of hotel, ill or high. Never again.

Very good overall
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Berkeley SpringsPleased with our room, clean & comfy. Side entrance door needs secured, no lock. Good variety at complimentary continental breakfast. Request room facing yard, not parking lot. Very nice desk staff.

The worst
Extended Stay America Select Suites Cleveland MentorNo desk clerk to check us in for about 10 minutes, then my wife & I both had to present our photo ID’s. Why? Then the TV in room didn’t work, so desk clerk could not change our room & maintenance did not work weekends so I asked to check out and get refund, nope they would not even consider. She then called maintenance person who would come in, not sure when. We put all our luggage back in car & went for dinner hoping upon return TV would be working… it was! Room lacked soap, shampoo, coffee maker, no ice machine in building, empty ice trays in refrigerator & two flimsy plastic cups. Went to bed, comfy. At 3:15am - 4:15 am a group of 10-12 partied right outside our ground floor window & exit door next to our room opened and closed all night. Called front desk & of course no answer! Got up early & left. Ughhhh !
