Great stay
Bavarian Inn Black HillsThis place is amazing. Cool, old style motor inn with nice updates. Friendly staff and so many amenities right on the property. Cafe, indoor & outdoor pool and lots of grassy spaces for the pups to walk. Wish we had more time there to relax. Was also nice that it is a little outside of Custer and away from the touristy stuff.

Fine hotel, inaccurate map location
Days Inn by Wyndham Grand Island I-80Our stay was better and easier than expected. We thought this location was more in-town but turned out to be in a pretty desolate spot right next to the highway. Dogs did fine but we were worried with noise. Pretty old motel and could use some work. Staff was very nice, just not what or where we were expecting to stay.

great hiking
Spicer Lake Nature Preservebeautiful and quiet spot. love exploring the trails here with the dogs all seasons. really nice facilities and a well-maintained boardwalk to access the lake and watch birds and beavers.

Middlegrounds Metropark Off-Leash Areajust drove here as we were passing through on I-80 and found the gate locked. looked like a nice spot but it is closed to allow the grass to regrow. considering it is winter now, guessing it will open when things start growing which should could be may or june. sad pups.

Nice easy spot
Towneplace Suites by Marriott StreetsboroGood clean hotel with lots of dogs. Nice rooms with couches and comfy beds. Very dog friendly. Most guests seemed to have dogs. Not a lot of outdoor space for dogs but there is a grass relief area. Really just set in a pretty large shopping center with a big Walmart across the street and 2 neighboring hotels. Means it is pretty quiet at night but not too scary or weird. Head over to Hudson for some nice food options.

Decent, easy stay
Motel 6 Madison WI-EastOther than the bathroom tub, most of the place seems to have been redone pretty recently. Things were clean in the room. A little shabby in the halls and stairs but totally worked for us. Staff was nice and check in was easy. Was surprised since we usually shy away from Motel 6. And the room was quiet. Seemed like the doors and walls were pretty well sound proofed for what we are used to. Located in a strip mall type area with big parking lots and chain stores so quiet at night and not too scenic for walking the dog.
