I have a male Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Finn. My husband and I take Finn with us on all of our travels that don’t involve flying.

Excellent Location!
Cavalier Oceanfront ResortWe’ve been coming to the Cavalier Resort for over 20 years. They are truly dog friendly: no pet fee, no pet size limits, a lovely beach to walk on with freshwater creeks flowing to the ocean, lots of grassy grounds. A true doggy paradise! This stay we enjoyed a room directly overlooking the beach. The view was so nice we ordered dinner from the resort restaurant and ate on our deck with our pup and watched the sunsets.
Very Dog Friendly!
Grand Canyon Brewing + DistilleryWe visited on March 29 for dinner and they let us bring our Corgi, Frankie, into the restaurant to dine with us! Normally, we would have eaten on their outdoor patio but the weather was pretty cold that evening so we were very happy to be able to bring Frankie in with us. The food, cocktails and beer were all very good. I highly recommend this place!
Great Location!
Goulding's LodgeWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gouldings Lodge! The lodge is in a great location for viewing and visiting beautiful Monument Valley. We stayed in Villa 440 and had a lovely view of Monument Valley from our deck, which we enjoyed with our Corgi, Frankie. Our only disappointment was the restaurant. We had called to ask if they did takeout so we could eat our dinner on our deck with Frankie and they said they did. However, when we called back later to put in our order, they said they weren't taking takeout orders for the rest of the evening! Wish they had warned us about that. Fortunately we had some leftovers from the previous evening to eat for our dinner.
Too Noisy!
Mr. D'z Route 66 DinerWe had lunch with our pup and found the location to be way too noisy. The diner is on busy Historic Route 66 and their outdoor tables are literally steps from the road with no shade in the afternoon. Oh, and the trains run right across the street as well. The food was OK, but unless your pup really likes a lot of noise I would skip this place.
Very Welcoming
Callahan's Mountain LodgeCallaghan’s has a sign at their entry specifically welcoming your furry friend(s) with dogs biscuits at the reception desk. Our Corgi was allowed to go anywhere in the Lodge, so we could have him with us for dinner and breakfast.
Friendly Staff Great Food
Salty Girls - Seafood BarMy husband and I had lunch here with our Corgi, Frankie, on a beautiful, sunny mild day. Tables in the shade were few, but we got the last one. The staff brought out a bowl of fresh water for Frankie right away. Ordering and payment was done online. When my food was brought out, the waiter asked if Frankie could have a piece of bacon, so of course I said yes! We ordered crab sandwiches which were excellent.
Very Accommodating!
Rose's Landing Bar & GrillMy husband and I visited Rose’s Landing Bar and Grill with our Corgi Frankie on a Wednesday evening following a rainy late afternoon of showers so the outdoor tables were all wet. They let us sit inside for dinner and the staff was very friendly to Frankie. The food was excellent and the service prompt. Highly recommend this very pet-friendly restaurant!
Decent Basic Accommodations
Mission Inn San Luis ObispoWe booked the Mission Inn for a last minute trip to San Luis Obispo. The accommodations were a step above Motel 6, very basic but decent. Great WiFi though. Nothing special for our pup and no breakfast offered, though you can tell they used to do that.
