A National Park that Dogs Can Actually Visit
Great Sand Dunes National Park and PreserveThis was a really cool experience with our two dogs. I would suggest paying attention to the weather to make sure your dog is comfortable. Also, it can get extremely windy, so equipment like doggles could be useful to have.

Interesting and Dog-Friendly
UFO WatchtowerIf you're into UFOs and you're in the area, I'd definitely suggest stopping through. Dogs are welcome to walk around outside and our dogs were allowed into the store.

Best Dog Park
Chatfield Dog ParkThis is the best dog park I've ever been to. There's a walking path throughout, water for dogs to swim in, and plenty of room to run. If you're thinking of coming more than once, it's probably worth it to get a park pass and a dog park pass. We keep coming back here because nothing else compares!

Favorite Dog-Friendly Restaurant
Avery Brewing CompanyFinally, a place that has figured out how to be truly dog friendly! There's an awesome park across the street, so if you have to wait for a table, you can give your pup a chance to play. They have tables in a great outdoor space with plenty of room between tables. Also, their food is amazing!

Dog Friendly and Outstanding Food
Brues Alehouse Brewing CompanyThe food here was amazing and they were very accommodating of our dogs. The tables outside on the patio were well-spaced so our pups weren't crowded and our server brought out dog waters.

Convenient and Friendly
Best Western Alamosa InnThis was a great spot to stay for close proximity to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Keep in mind, this is a dog-friendly, two-star hotel, not luxury accommodations. Check-in was very easy, and we ran into no issues with our two dogs. There is a nice grassy area in the middle to walk your dog. The room was pretty large and comfortable enough for a night or two.

Amazing food and dog friendly
Ozark Mountain Biscuit & BarThe food at this restaurant was amazing! We were completely blown away. Our dogs were welcome on one section of the patio and were provided water. The service was also excellent.

Nothing Special, but Gets the Job Done
Prairie Dogs Dog Park at the 24/7 Travel StoreI'm not a huge fan of gas station dog parks, but this one was clean, safe, and convenient. Especially grateful for this dog park since there are very few options in this part of Kansas.

Great Place to Stay
Residence Inn by Marriott ColumbiaVery pleasant experience stopping here with our two 50 lb dogs. There's a dog area in the back to walk your dogs. They even gave us the room right next to the dog area, which was very convenient.
