Seagull Bay MotelI love this place and it is right for a stay in Bayfield. No-frills, unassuming, comfortable and the staff is great. Great dog-walking trail right off the back deck. I hope to go back.

Bad Location
Best Western BemidjiHelpful, if overworked staff. My primary complaint is the location -- wedged in between two busy hwy/streets and surrounded by every big-box store. A desert.

Decent accommodations
Grand Canyon Plaza HotelOur room was good and included a back door access to an area for the dog. But the room did have plumbing issue which the staff promptly tried to fix. Be aware that the pet fee is high.

Great historic accommodations
Thunderbird LodgeThe rustic, southwestern feel of the place more than made up for the funky water pressure. Great place to launch your adventure into the national park. Staff was great.

The Best in the West
Best Western Turquoise Inn & SuitesThe staff went above and beyond to help. Great room and best hotel breakfast ever. The only minor complaint is that there were so few outlets for laptops and phones.

Working towards better
La Junta InnStaff was great, and room was clean. But newly renovated rooms could have been done better. Very few outlets for charging electronics. We never did get WIFI to work. Also very poor dog-walking options.
