Great location

Nice hotel with friendly staff and free breakfast. Hotel is within walking distance of the outlet mall and restaurants and has plenty of grassy areas to walk the dogs. Room was nice and beds were comfy. I will definitely stay here again

Nice room

We only stayed one night while driving from CO to VA. Hotel was nice and beds were comfy. There is a big grassy are behind the hotel for the pups. I didn’t partake in the free breakfast but my husband said it was good. The room had plenty of storage, a nice size closet, and plenty of plugs in convenient locations to charge everything up. We would stay here again.

Nice hotel

We had a suite with a full size fridge, microwave and stove. Room was big and had a nice work area. Hotel is convenient to the highway with lots of stores and places to eat close by. Plenty of grassy areas around for the pups to relieve themselves.

Recommend

Only stayed one night, but the hotel was nice. Room was big and even had a nice little deck overlooking the pumpkin patch. Convenient to 81. Would stay here again.

Great Stay

Hotel is very nice and in a great location. Loved that the room was a suite with a separate lined room off from the living room. We also had a mini kitchen area, with fridge, coffee maker, and sink which was very convenient. Bed was very comfy and so was the couch in the living area (we didn’t sleep on the king pull out sofa). Location is convenient to many restaurants and bars, and you could even walk down to the water if you are up for a bit longer walk. Parking in the garage was free and conveniently located under the hotel with an elevator right to the lobby. Wish our stay could’ve been longer! Definitely recommend.

Nice hotel, great location

we enjoyed our stay at Wildwood. the hotel is within walking distance from many stores, restaurants and a theatre since it is in an outdoor shopping mall. there are many places to walk your pet including a large, open, grassy field. the suite was nice and roomy and even had a separate large sitting are with couch, fridge, microwave, and TV. we had a 2nd TV in the bedroom over the dresser and a nice size bathroom. the room had plenty of space for both our labs dog beds. only complaint is the double pillow top mattress is as too soft for our liking. definitely recommend this place.

Older property but bed was comfy and staff very friendly and accommodating. If you’re on a budget this is a good stop.

Nice hotel

This is a nice hotel right in the cute town of Staunton. There are many restaurants and shops within a short walking distance of the hotel. In the summer they close down the Main Street to cars and set up outside seating for many of the restaurants so you can easily find a restaurant that allows you to bring your dog. The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming to us and our 2 labs. Although this is a very dog friendly town, we had a hard time finding a grassy area for our pups to relive themselves.

There is a very small dog area across the street from the hotel which would probably be fine for small dogs, but we had to walk up and down (big hills) to try to find grassy areas for our dogs and it is possible the few we found were really private property. Other than the lack of grass (which isn’t the fault of the hotel) the hotel was nice. They have garage parking which can be accessed from the hotel via an elevator in the lobby (separate from the elevators to the rooms), but it is $50/night to park.

Great Hotel & Friendly Staff

We had a very nice stay at Embassy Suites. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable for my husband and I and out 2 large labs. There is plenty of grassy areas to walk your dog, walking paths/sidewalks and even a pond to walk around with the dogs. We also enjoyed the free happy hour and the complimentary breakfast buffet that not only included made to order omelets, but also had everything else you could want (eggs, French toast, biscuits &gravy, sausage, oatmeal, grits, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, danish, juice, coffee, tea etc. Our only complaint was that our stay wasn’t longer. Will definitely stay here again.

Great stay for 2 adults and 3 labs!

We have not stayed one night but our stay with 3 dogs was very relaxing. We were traveling back from west coast to east coast so it was just a stopover, but the staff was very nice and helpful. Love the fact that they would accommodate our 3 lab mixes for only $25. Most hotels have limitations on size and number of dogs, so was happy to find the Candlewood in Salina, KS. Definitely will use them again when traveling back to visit our kids.
