Demolition Needed

Our original hotel through BringFido was cancelled while we were in-route to our first night-on-the-road’s hotel. We were told they did not take pets anymore. This left us stranded on the second night of our travels. We booked a night at the Jackson, TN La Quinta through BringFido and prepaid. When we reached Jackson, we were booked into the oldest, filthiest, most disgusting hotel we have ever seen with a non-refundable charge on our credit card and a pet fee due. We found our room as clean as housekeeping could get it, but I sprayed the bed and bedding with Lysol and re-cleaned the bathroom.

From that point until we checked out, we did not walk barefooted or sit on anything but the bed and the toilet. Our dog’s feet never touched any floor in the hotel. We carried her and she did not get off the bed. The carpet was filthy. I don’t know why a pet fee was charged (ours was refunded!) because there were stains on every inch of the carpet. The hall reeked of smoke and tobacco. The parking lot had deep holes in the blacktop and only 3 lights lit. There were dead trees on the lot and broken branches on the parking lot. This place is beyond reconditioning. It needs to be demolished. One bright spot, the staff was nice. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
