Great hotel
Best Western Gateway GrandWe stayed in many hotels on our trip from Massachusetts to Florida and back. We travel with our two small dogs. This hotel was by far one of the best of the trip. Room was great, no funny smells and bed was very comfortable. Pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Room had a weird smell
Best Western of WalterboroRoom was small and had a strong smell of cleaning chemicals. We travel with two small dogs and find most pet-friendly hotel rooms smell bad.

Room needed updating
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Richmond - Kings DominionHotel is under renovation and it's messy. Rooms need updating and bed was very uncomfortable. Fitness center was not usable. Location was good and hopefully once renovations are complete it will be better.

Nice beach for dogs
Brohard Paw ParkWe only went once because we found that too many people weren't cleaning up after their dogs. It would be so much nicer if dog owners acted more responsible.
