I travel twice a year between Florida and New Hampshire with my 18 year old tiny Chihuahua and my large Husky who is handicapped. I use Bring Fido each time and it has been a god send for me. I always need a first-floor room more than anything else and preferably with an exterior entrance. I don't really care about anything else. But no stairs in mandatory for us.

Worst experience ever

Quality Inn & Suites Civic Center

I don't even know where to begin. We have an elderly large dog and an elderly owner, and reserved a handicapped room at Quality Inn. On our way there we hit an insane amount of traffic and massive rain storms. At 3pm, when I pulled over for gas, I called Quality Inn to let them know that we were hours behind on our trip and would be checking in around 9-10pm. The girl who answered the phone was unbelievably condescending. She made me feel stupid for calling and replied in a cocky manner that there is always someone there 24/7 to check us in.

I told her that wasn't the point of my call. I simply didn't want them to give away our reserved room. I asked her if she could just run my credit card now and she looked up the room and verified that we had a handicapped room reserved and that we were all set. She said we didn't need to charge the card until we arrived. I continued on my way. I'm driving in massive rain and traffic and a number called twice on my phone. I don't pick up while I'm driving for two reasons. Number one, each state is different and I'm not going to risk a ticket talking on my cell while driving. Number two, I'm using my cell phone for the GPS to find the hotel.

I pull over for gas again at 9pm and I see that the call was from an Andrew from the hotel and he was giving me to 9:05 to call back or he will give the room away. I'm beside myself because I'm driving for 12 hours now with an elderly handicapped passenger and dog. It's the sole reason why I had called at 3pm. I call immediately and Andrew picks up. I beg him not to give my months long reservation away and he lets me know he already did. I'm in utter disbelief. How on Earth do you treat people like this???? I told him that I had called for this very reason and because I can't recall the girl's name, he insinuates that I'm lying and didn't call. I have the call saved in my recent call log on my cell phone with the time stamp!

These employers are the absolute worst. They absolute do not care about the customers at all. They sound young and are very cocky. Never in my life have I experienced such blatant careless attitude from 2 employees of the same business. Absolute worst experience and completely uncalled for. I would've taken full blame for the incident had I not called to ask to check in and to verify that we are still on our way.

Thank goodness for BringFido because we called them right away and they were able to get us another room at midnight!! The rep Kristen was simply amazing. She couldn't believe how we had been treated at Quality Inn. She said she has never heard of a hotel doing such a thing. If you do choose to book here, be prepared with a back up plan if you run late because Quality Inn employees will not help you out at all.

Exceptional service

Travelodge by Wyndham Florence

BringFido called them at midnight for us because we were desperate for a room in the area. They were tremendously accommodating. They were even nicer in person when we arrived. The room was super clean and he put us towards the backside where it was very quiet. Overall just a really great stay.

Good location

Motel 6 Elkton MD

Decent hotel and in a quiet location on the Maryland/Delaware line. Easy on and off access to I-95. Space to walk dogs and hardwood floors for easy cleanup.
