Solid option
American InnThis was a good stay the staff were helpful and kind. The bed was comfy, & there is a ton of green space to walk your dog. The room seemed to he recently updated and freshly painted. I really appreciated the hard floors which are always my preference when traveling with my dog instead of carpet. The only thing I'd call out is the shower leaked a bit and caused a bit of water to pool in the bathroom. Nothing that couldn’t be cleaned up with a towel. I'd stay here again if traveling through Carlisle.
Under renovation
Best Western Classic InnThe good: The staff was incredibly nice and reassuring in regard to the construction site that is the hotel. Additionally there are a few grassy areas to walk your dog. It's also well lit.
The bad: The room I got the air conditioner didn't work at all. It would run for about 30 sec then turn off. This was an issue because the rooms ambient temp was about 75 degrees. I was traveling with my dog and she was panting all night trying to cool off. You also cannot open the windows so there was no relief. The mattress had a human body groove in it which made the bed feel angled downwards towards the bottom of it. The room has carpet vs hard flooring. For a pet room this always feels counterintuitive.
In short, call ahead and see if the hotel is still a construction site and verify everything works in the room before bringing all your belongings inside. I would not stay here again if given the choice.
Excellent accommodations
PINEMARK Inn Suites EventsI had to drive across country from west coast to almost the east coast. This hotel was by far the best place I stayed at. I was traveling with my dog (50 lbs) and the room was perfect. Flooring was not carpet which I appreciate in a pet-friendly hotel. The room was immaculate and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I'd stay here any time passing through and highly recommend it.
