Kicked to the curb

La Quinta Garden City kicked my senior dogs 11 and 13 and myself to the curb because the hotel tried to charge more than the published pet fee on the La Quinta website and even called police. Amanda and that other lady working on July 16, 2023. Another worker behind the desk was unhelpful. Instead of giving me the published pet fee from La Quinta (which is now the same across all La Quintas, $25 a night up to two dogs maximum $75 a stay). Amanda called her manager and he was insistent on charging more than the published fee. The police were called and we were kicked out by the manager over the phone whose name is Hugo. The police kept on bothering me in the parking lot while I was on the phone with my brother and had no place to sleep that night.

They also cancelled a future reservation without my permission. Let me point out I am a diamond member as well which is the highest tier status with Wyndham. Amanda has no customer service skills and should be fired as well as Hugo. The other lady behind the desk kept on asking questions about my dogs which was never an issue at any La Quinta. My parents are elderly and that is why I came for the visit. We've stayed at so many La Quintas without issues, sometimes the staff would even come out and pet the dogs.
