Has potential

The room we were assigned is spacious with comfortable beds and nicely appointed. The dog walking area was large and maintained. They provide an adequate continental breakfast.

Now the hiccups...minor annoyances: light in rooms foyer flickered regularly, solution, don't use it. Traveling sports team of pre-teen age stomping on the floor above our heads. Major issue: We require a very cool room for our 12 1/2 year old Pug to sleep well. Unfortunately, probably due to a safety cutout the cooling would shut itself off every couple of hours. Even though it was in the mid 50's outside the room would temp would rise to the mid 70's quickly. So I found myself having to shut the unit off several times during the night to reset the unit. I've never ran into this issue before so I don't know what's different here.

The staff was sympathetic but nothing could be done until after we left.

Always a good bet

Can't say I've visited most Comfort Inns but they always have comfortable rooms. This one had a sunken area for letting our dog do its business. Since it's surrounded with large stones the footing is not the best for us 2 legged creatures. There's a park within walking distance though with a large fenced in dog run if that's your jam.

Why is this place rated so high?

Talk about a facility that has seen better days. From the unkempt landscaping (weeds knee high) to the jam packed rooms. A bathtub that looked like it was used to dissolve a murder victim. Queen sized beds that tilt (by design) when you sit on one side. If you time it right, yes you can dump your partner on the floor. A well appointed office area which is always locked. An attendant who's never present. One power strip already full so if you have anything to charge, these days who doesn't, plan on getting on your knees and start unplugging things. Need I go on? My suggestion you should!

A place to lay your head

Very basic hotel room. Layout was OK but not very useful (e.g. open clothes hanging space above frig and microwave making it difficult to access). Typical wall mounted combo heat and a/c noisy. Quick tip, leave the fan on constant at night. Eventually it becomes white noise and muffles the train noise passing by. The bed and pillows are incredibly firm. Definitely an issue for both of us. Finally, we were told after arriving we couldn't get a room on the first floor because of our Fido! I'm in my 70's and moving our luggage on day one, a portable frig and power station up and down each day was challenging. Imagine a handicapped traveler required to do the same. Anyway, there were no other options in the area so at least we had a place to rest each night.
