Pet stay

After driving a long ways and getting there very late. The room was dirty from the kitchen forward. The bathroom was the only area that was apparently cleaned. Bed was disgusting and rugs as well. They had us in a joining room and the door did not lock. Having two dogs and not feeling safe with that door opening by accident was concerning. So I went to the front and explained the matter.

A young girl who was the reception that night said I am sorry I will have maintenance look into tomorrow but we are only staying one night! So I ask to switch rooms she said they have no more rooms in the first floor. But she also after said don’t worry no one is coming to that room tonight. 🤔She just said no other rooms available but then said the one joining mine is empty. So I managed to do what I can to block the door.

We started getting ready for bed and that’s when I couldn’t take. The bed sheets and mattress were super disgusting and I could not stay in there. I went up front and this time I spoke to a man who was very helpful and he immediately moved us to “a new room on the same floor.” The bed was very clean. The girl was next to him but she was refusing to move us. I asked would you sleep in this bed full of what I described as blood stains all over? Then the man said no and he was again the most helpful person in this place. If staying with a pet, check your room and bed. If this is a pattern, most likely pet rooms are not being cleaned.

Would not recommend

Very dirty room. From the beds to the rugs not being cleaned before we came in. We found a disgusting bed sheet and mattress. We had to use our sleeping bags to sleep. Thank goodness it was only one night. The rugs had dog waist from previous guests. We explained this to the front desk and all they would offer was reward points if we were members of the chain. We do not usually stay at hotels for this same reason. They always seem to charge you to stay with a pet but never clean the rooms before you stay. Very bad business. If it was cleaned it would have been a nice place to stay and rest like we needed after traveling.
