Not as good as usual

Let me first say that the front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. That said, our room was dirty. We were told at check-in there would be no housekeeping during our stay (COVID-19 related), however, we did expect the usual clean standards that we've become accustomed to staying at the Hampton Inns. When we first arrived a little water was spilled on the tile floor and upon wiping it up with our paper towels the paper towels were completely black. We had a room with a handicap shower and the curved shower rod/curtain let the water run out of the shower area onto the bathroom floor, which we then had to clean up and the bath mat after wiping up the water the mat filthy black as well.

We were very glad we had brought flip flops which we wore throughout our time in the room including in the shower after we discovered the filth. The top of the headboard on the bed was very heavy with dust. We were in a pet friendly room and we always bring our own dog towels to clean their feet each time they come in from outdoors. We always bring a roll of paper towels in our car when we're traveling, which we were happy we had on hand during our stay. We were also disappointed in the towels provided in the room as they were thin and looked pretty old which again is not what we're used to staying at the Hampton Inns.

Nice Hotel and Pet Friendly

We've stayed here several times now and it's always been a good experience. Nice room, clean and very friendly staff. The dogs love the treats the staff gives them on arrival.
