It Was Nice!!
Cavalier Oceanfront ResortThe Cavalier Resort was nice, but a little big, as I prefer small hotels. However, size aside, it was lovely, except for the rude front desk. The other thing we disliked was while the cleaners did a good job, we caught one of them not wearing a mask. But, my daughter and our two large dogs fit well in our room. It’s exactly as we expected. We loved that it was right near the ocean, which at night had the most beautiful sunsets. We stayed in the Kings’ row. The room was really comfortable, nice, and pretty big. The TV didn’t have very many channels, but that was ok. We had a patio and fireplace, which was nice. Outside, there’s a huge green area (but: warning there’s bees) and many giant games. I loved it, and despite it’s few flaws, I would recommend it.

I Love It!!
Cayucos MotelThe Cayucos Motel was marvelous, one of the friendliest hotels I have stayed in. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. One of our favorite parts was that a huge off-leash dog beach was just across the street, and it had many treasures on it. When we booked our stay they asked our pets’ names and if they had allergies. Then when we checked in we found out why: they gave us dog bowls with our dogs' names hand painted on them. Each bowl had a squeaky ball in it matching the color of the bowl, a stuffed squeaky toy, and an equal amount of the same treats. From the beginning the small staff was extremely friendly, were interested in friendly conversation, and seemed like family. They showed us personally the dog shower, the rags for wet or dirty dogs, the lawn with chairs and ashtrays with a great ocean view, and the fenced green area. There are 7 rooms and we stayed in room 2, and it was cleaned very thoroughly. It had a king bed, fridge that worked really well, bathroom with a shower our dogs could step into, a table, a small TV, and a closet. The room was bright and beach themed, and the location of the hotel is really close to a lot of great restaurants. It was small, but my daughter, our two large dogs and I fit in it nicely. The TV had more channels than on the guide, so be sure to flip through them if you are looking for something other that isn’t on the guide. I love this hotel and can’t wait to come back. I highly recommend it for everyone, no matter the size of the dog.
