Roaches
Motel 6 Santa Maria CA - NorthNice hotel, but I saw a roach in my room just as I was leaving. The roach made me question some of the cleanliness. There was also a bit of noise from outside.

Motel 6 Bakersfield CA - SouthRoaches were present in the room. I know it's a Motel 6, in Bakersfield, but it should not be a stereotype of itself.

Rooms were nice and clean
Quality Inn Santa Nella on I-5I'm glad I booked this hotel. The room was great for the price. The interior was also great. The metal gates surrounding the hotel, however, took a lot away from the ambience; Rather than making one feel secure, entering a hotel that looks almost like a prison from outdoors made me concerned about my car and being outside on the property at night.

Good. Not great.
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Tucson EastI've stayed here twice. Hotel room was quite clean both times. Have dog biscuits at the front desk. Both times, noise from adjoining rooms or people in the courtyard, was somewhat annoying at times.
