Good value
Red Roof Inn CortlandThis is one of the nicer Red Roofs I've been to (though a bit more expensive than usual, too). Ground rooms open to a hallway rather than to the outdoors, which was nice. Pet rooms have hardwood floors. Not a ton of green space, but there's a narrow lawn that backs up to an overgrown river.
Good value for price
Red Oak Inn Detroit Metro Airport - BellevilleAll in all decent option for traveling with a dog. Red Roof is consistently one of the only hotels without an additional pet fee. Pet-rooms have hardwood floors, which is a nice precaution. There's a long, narrow green space that wraps around the hotel, and makes a decent walk. My only issue was how LOUD the mini fridge was, but I just unplugged it overnight.
Fine
Red Roof Inn Cleveland Airport-Middleburg HeightsI don't know if I'd call this hotel dog-friendly so much as dog-tolerant. I showed up with a dog. They didn't turn me away. That's about all I can say for it.
Clean-ish. Quiet-ish. Acceptable place to spend a night if you're just passing through. If safety is a concern for you, though, make sure you aren't on the ground level.
