Fantastic Hotel
Prospector Hotel and CasinoI can't say enough about this hotel. Easy check-in, professional staff, free drink coupon, free gift in the gift shop, excellent Mexican restaurant on site and casino. The rooms are spacious, clean and well thought out. (no carpet, thank you). Dog beds provided, along with dog treats and poop bags. There's a large doggie relief area on the back side of the hotel. I will definitely be staying here again.

Great Location/Staff Sucks
Oasis at Gold Spike - Adults OnlyI booked a king size suite through Fido.com. The Oasis contacted Fido.com saying dogs were not allowed in those rooms. However when I checked in I was told by the Oasis staff, that was not the case. They would NOT upgrade me saying they didn't have a room. The king size suites were vacant the entire time I was there. D'Angelo is one of the Oasis's staff and he asked me to check with him everyday and he would upgrade me. It was as if it was a game to him, to see if I would . come asking to change rooms. The dog relief area is a joke. It's a strip of artificial grass in the middle of the parking lot where the homeless people sleep. I actually found human feces on the grass. So I ended up taking my dogs down the street to an abandoned lot. The Oasis is located 3 blocks from Fremont Street, so it's nice and the price $22 a night is great. Until you get here and they hit you with the usual resort fee and another $100 deposit for incidentals. I am still trying to figure that out, when they don't have ANYTHING on the property. Overall this place is NOT worth the price.
